Later on, she went into Vanessa's room to see how she was doing. Elena wanted to know if she was in the right frame of mind after everything that happened. She couldn't just rely on what Andrea said. She needed to know if she was okay, talk to her and ensure that she wasn't spiraling into depression.

''Wakey wakey.'' Elena smiled, walking into the room.

Vanessa yawned, stretching out her hands with her sleepy eyes. In this way, she looked so cute and adorable and Elena wished that she could just hug her, squeeze her little body as she told her how adorable and brave she was. Thinking about it now, she realized that kids of Vanessa's age weren't really brave like her. Throughout the shooting, she had put up a brave front, not minding that a literal war was going on within the mansion grounds.

Elena knew that she didn't even have half the courage she had but a young girl like her braved the storm and showed how courageous she was which was something worthy of emulating.

In the beginning when I started reading this it intrigued me. But now the stir is all over the place and doesn’t match with the start of the book. The names of the characters keep changing as well.
