The voice was heavy, hoarse, and sharp like a black sword scraping against obsidian. It was just an ordinary sentence, but the vibration made every Alpha in the room, including Julian, forcefully fall to their knees. Their bones creaked as if an iceberg had hit them.

Their ancient instincts immediately recognized who had come.

Top of the food chain. Sectarian Underworld God of War.

The Alpha King: Alexander Sterling.

The double doors of the VIP room broke into pieces. Not broken into, but crushed to dust due to the pressure of energy entering the room. From the cloud of marble dust, stepped a figure of a man who was almost two meters tall.

His aura was pitch black, absorbing every inch of light from the crystal chandelier above him. He was wearing a pitch black military uniform coat with no medals, dangling across the floor as if he didn't care who he stepped on. His face was so handsome it looked inhuman; His jaw was stiff as sharp as a blade, with a pair of bright red eyes - the pure blood red of a supreme ruler that could burn the soul of anyone who dared to look at him.

Alexander Sterling has not appeared in public for the past decade. But tonight, the shadow King appeared, and every breath in the room suddenly became very expensive.

"Y-Your Majesty King Alexander..." said an elite elder whose body was shaking and crawling on the floor. "T-A great honor..."

Alexander didn't turn his head an inch. His leather boots stepped calmly, passing over Julian and Seraphina's trembling bodies like passing over dead insects on the road. He continued walking, straight towards the woman in the black dress who had been standing without being affected by her aura.

Just Chloe.

When they were only one meter away, Alexander's murderous and tyrannical aura suddenly disappeared like smoke in the wind. His red eyes, which previously brought the apocalypse, now softened drastically when he looked at Chloe. Tenderness and insanely obsessive longing shone clearly in his eyes.

Alexander lowered his right knee. He, the man who made this continent tremble, knelt on one knee in front of Chloe Vanguard. He took one of Chloe's hands, gently kissed the back of her hand with a devotion that shook his senses.

"Forgive me for coming late, my Queen," whispered Alexander, his voice now as smooth as velvet, full of absolute adoration that made the sanity of the audience split in two.

The world seemed to explode inside Julian's head.

Alpha King... the most sacred and most savage man in history... called Chloe 'My Queen'?! And on your knees?!

"I didn't tell you to come destroy the floor, Alex," Chloe replied coldly, her face emotionless, but she didn't withdraw her hand.

"I heard there were some flies disturbing your auction evening," Alexander stood up proudly. He turned his head slightly, glancing sharply at Julian who was cowering in humiliation. "Do I need to destroy these insects in a... less neat way?"

Seraphina screamed so scared she wet herself. The rancid smell of urine wafted out, adding to the disgust of the elite atmosphere. Julian couldn't even lift his head. His absolute pride had been skinned alive. Not only was Vanguard too big for him; Now Alpha King - the ruler of the earth where his sect is based - stands as Chloe's protection dog.

Chloe smiled slightly. He walked over to Julian.

Julian looked up with difficulty to resist Alexander's heavy pressure. The eyes of the man who once threw Chloe away were now filled with broken veins of despair. Her tears dripped.

"Chloe... Chloe... I'm sorry," Julian wailed hoarsely, his nails clawing at the marble. "Give me one chance..."

"Regret? Opportunity?" Chloe repeated, her smile grinning like a fallen angel. He brought his face slightly closer to Julian. "Didn't you throw me into the storm, having your dog drag me as if I were a pile of rubbish? Three years I served you, while you laughed with satisfaction at this woman's betrayal. And now... you ask for mercy?"

Chloe patted Julian's cheek lightly, but the light slap felt like a hot knife.

"Your life and death are now in the palm of my hands, Julian Blackwood. I refuse your request."

Chloe stood up straight, letting Alexander Sterling possessively wrap his strong arms around her slim waist. The Black Wolf King and Queen's entourage walked away, leaving behind a trail of destruction, destitution and hellish torment for the Bloodmoon Pack which was certain to perish the next day.

Julian collapsed, wailing at the top of his lungs as the destroyed door slowly closed. Its roar was long, filled with the torn wounds of the soul of a wolf that had thrown away the most beautiful blessings of the Moon Goddess for the most deadly poison. Those regrets began to lock him in a lifelong prison of madness.
