Today was the day. The day when Carson was going to marry Amanda. No matter how many times she told herself that it wouldn't bother her, she failed to keep that. Her heart felt heavy thinking about Carson. He would be someone else's husband today, and then she would have to let go of him completely.

Elissa took deep breaths while looking at herself in the mirror. She was wearing the dress that Carson sent her, for the maid of honor. It was a beautiful lavender color maxi dress with lace short sleeves. The dress was pretty but she hated it anyway. She looked amazing in that dress which was more annoying. Since she had to reach there at the given time, she hurried to do her makeup. She kept it minimal, as she always does, and made her hair into a low mermaid bun. While she was fidgeting, her cellphone started to ring. It was her brother Jonathan. She hasn't told him anything and she wasn't intending to tell him either. She cleared her throat and picked up the call.
