Rhea’s POV

My eyes were cutting across the room at that girl, the way she was pressed against Rowan like she had every right to be there. But Rowan didn’t waste time. He pulled free from her arms and grabbed mine instead.

My heart did a full spin. I almost turned around to make the most ridiculous victory face, but I held it together. I was Rowan Langston’s wife. Composure was the bare minimum.

“My daughter!”

Noona’s voice rang out before she was even fully through the door. She pulled me into

  • Obsessed With My Father’s Boss    Rhea VS Mia

AUTHOR’s POV Rhea’s eyes dropped before her brain could stop them.Rowan stood there, water trailing down his chest, completely unbothered. He reached over and turned off the shower, eyes already on her.“Done staring?” The smirk on his face was unbearable.Rhea snapped back to herself. She shut her eyes, turned, and walked straight back to the bedroom. She climbed into bed, pulled the duvet over her head, and lay there like that would somehow undo what she had just seen.It did not help. She barely slept. She kept shifting further toward the edge of the bed, chasing sleep that refused to come, while Rowan lay on his side completely unbothered and fast asleep. The problem was not him. The problem was her head, and everything it kept conjuring every time she closed her eyes. She avoided him the next morning with full commitment. Kept her eyes shut until she heard him leave the room, then called for her breakfast to be brought in rather than face the dining table. She had a whole plan.

  • Obsessed With My Father’s Boss    My Shameless Eyes

Rhea’s POVI sighed, he probably still saw me as a kid. I wasn’t experienced at all, just like Mia had said.I sat on the edge of the bed staring at nothing. His words kept replaying on a loop. Even if I wanted to, I can’t. What did that even mean? I turned it over and over in my head until it stopped making sense. Maybe it meant nothing. Maybe I was the only one reading into it.I showered, ate the dinner Zoe brought, and climbed into bed. But sleep was not interested in me at all. I tossed to the left, then the right, then stared at the ceiling like it owed me answers. The bed smelled like him and that wasn’t helping.I finally gave up. I got up, changed into something comfortable, and slipped out. I prayed I wouldn’t run into Rowan’s step mum or that girl Mia. Liam I could handle, but those two together would finish me tonight. After a few wrong turns and one very long hallway, I found the garden. The air outside hit me immediately and I exhaled for what felt like the first time al

Composure was the bare minimum.“My daughter!”Noona’s voice rang out before she was even fully through the door. She pulled me into a hug that smelled like rose water and warmth, the kind that made you melt a little without meaning to. Behind her, Rowan’s stepmother stood with a smile stretched so wide and so empty it might as well have been painted on.“You look pale, my dear.”Noona held my face in both hands. “Has he been treating you badly?”The yes sat right at the back of my throat. I swallowed it down and smiled. “I’m fine, Noona.”“Good.”She looped her arm through mine and started pulling me forward. “Come on in eve

  • Obsessed With My Father’s Boss    The Weekend

Rhea’s POVThat wasn’t Rowan’s voice.I stepped back, squinting into the darkness. Then the light clicked on.When my eyes adjusted, there stood a stranger. Bare-chested, cute as fuck, and staring at me with a look I didn’t dare try to interpret.“Oh, you must be Rowan’s little wife.” He grinned, breaking the awkward silence. The tension in my body slowly began to ease. “Yeah, I am,” I said slowly.“Where are my manners?” He held out a hand. “I’m Lucas.”I hesitated, then took it. “Rhea.”“You’re very beautiful, Rhea.” He said it so easily, as if it were a fact. “No wonder that rascal has been hiding you.”I couldn’t help but blush. At least someone knows how to appreciate good things. We ended up in the kitchen for the next hour, laughing over nothing and everything. Lucas was the kind of person who made a room lighter just by being in it—nothing like Rowan. I laughed so hard my stomach hurt, and for a while, I completely forgot about my little mission. The next morning, I caught Row

  • Obsessed With My Father’s Boss    Attempts and Failures

Rhea’s POVThe light hit me before I was ready for it.I squeezed my eyes shut, groaned, and pressed my palm flat against my forehead like that would somehow hold my skull together. It didn’t. My head throbbed with the kind of pain that made me question every single decision I’d made after 10 p.m.I sat up slowly, one inch at a time, and when the room finally stopped tilting, I noticed the bowl on the nightstand. Steam was still curling off it faintly. Next to it, a folded piece of paper.I picked up the note first.Drink this. It will make you feel better. And don’t ever go to the club again without my security personnel.I read it twice, then sighed. “Like he cares.”The soup was warm and it did exactly what it promised, settling the chaos in my head enough for everything from last night to start filtering back in. The music. The dancing. The way I leaned in and kissed him, my hands probably somewhere they had no business being. And then nothing. A complete blank. Had he kissed me

  • Obsessed With My Father’s Boss    Waited To Be Noticed

Rhea’s POVThe men started dancing in front of us, moving sensually. I kept pushing the one gravitating toward me away, laughing nervously, until my eyes drifted back to Rowan’s table.A girl was kissing his neck.Something sharp moved through me. I watched her hand curl against his chest. The hope I had carried in here, dressed up and perfumed and pretending it was just a night out, shriveled in my chest like paper held to a flame. If he could have his fun then so could I.I took a few more shots, stood up, and let myself move. The dancer closed the distance between us, his breath warm against my shoulder, his hands settling firm around my waist as my hips found the rhythm. He whispered something into my ear, low and meaningless, and for a few minutes I stopped looking over.“Yes bestie, go!” Lyra cheered from behind me.I got lost in it. The music, the heat, the anonymity of just being a body moving in a dark room where nobody knew what I was trying to forget. The drinks had softene
