NOVA

“Mom stop it,” I said through my teeth when she kept waving at Dylan

“What? Can’t I say hi to your friend?” She asked as she got into the car

“He isn’t my friend” I rolled my eyes at her

“Really? More than friends then?” She asked

“Can you stop” I shot an irritated look at her

“Was he the one who dropped you off last night?” She kept pressing

“Can we go already? Or I will leave” I groaned

“Jeez fine” she laughed only irritating me even more

“He is very handsome,” she said making me groan in frustration

“Did you inform the school I had to leave in the middle of school to go shopping?” I asked in a sarcastic tone

“Yes I filled out the necessary form don’t worry” she smiled

“We haven’t had any mother-daughter outing in a long time. This should count as one” she nudged me but I just ignored her

The driver drove while I was stuck in the back seat with her, she kept trying to bring up conversation and I either ignored her or gave one-line answers.

“I thought they were friends?” “Who would blame her no one wants to be friends with a fraud and gold digger” “That means everything written was true” “Daughter of a gold digger” “You don't mean that” I whispered “I do, I mean every word that comes out of my mouth” “Kelsey!” May shouted and rushed towards her grabbing a fistful of her hair tightly “Let go of me” she tried to fight back but May was stronger and she dragged her to the middle of the hallway. I was still in a state of shock and could only watch without being able to say a word or move. I wanted to disappear or, better yet, be swallowed whole by the ground. People were pointing, and some had their phones out and were busy recording the chaos that had unfolded. The noise got louder and louder, making my ears hurt. I placed my hands over my ears to block the noise, but it didn't help. I wanted to run out, run away from the mess, but I couldn't bring myself to move. I crashed to the ground, squatted in th

“Do you believe me now?” Dylan asked “What if-” “No more what if’s look at what is clearly in front of you and stop making fucking excuses for someone that smiles in your face and is plotting your demise behind your back you” Dylan cut May off sounding irritated and angry at the same time “This is a lot to take in” May breathed out “Why didn’t I know about this?” May asked, I didn’t respond, and turned around and began marching towards the school building “Where are you headed” I heard May ask behind me as she tried to catch up with me I walked into the hallway to see that school was already over and most people were just hanging around the hallway or walking out of their classrooms. I ignored the eyes that followed me and my eyes searched around for Kelsey. The walls were spinning around me and I couldn't see clearly but I kept on pushing, searching around the sea of people that surrounded me looking down at me like I had gone mad. Then our eyes met she was standing b

“What are you trying to say?” My chest tightened as I asked “Don’t do that you know damn well what I’m trying to say” he stared at me like he was disappointed “I told you to hope you don’t regret your action and look it came back twice as hard” I could tell he was trying not to be harsh and raise his voice at me but he was struggling to do so “I don’t fucking know what you are talking about and you better stop your damn conspiracy!” I shot at him “This is no damn conspiracy you better believe it there is proof!” He shouted not able to contain his emotions anymore “Stop it” I placed my hand over my ears to block his voice “It is Kelsey who wrote the post both the note and the post,” he said “No” I shook my head violently trying to block out his voice but they kept creeping in “Listen to me” he grabbed both my shoulders in his hands “No it is a lie, Kelsey would never do that. She is my friend I talked to her about how I was feeling this morning” I cried heavily “Y

“Look, look she is here” someone called the attention of their friend leaving me confused than ever “No wonder she got admitted into our school” “People like her just drain off people’s energy” Their whispers filled my ears and I just kept staring around utterly confused at what the hell was going on. “Why are you just coming to class now?” The teacher's voice rang through the classroom “I got excused to leave,” I told her “Take a seat then and stop disrupting my class” she sent me a stern glare I was about to take my seat when the door swung open and Dylan rushed in his eyes searching the classroom until they landed on me. “Come with me” he grabbed onto my hand “Why? Where?” I asked trying to free my hand from his grip but he held on tightly not letting go “Mr Lennox, we are in the middle of a class” the teacher warned “It is an emergency,” he said and with that, he yanked me out of the classroom “What the fuck is happening” I tried to release myse

  • Once Her Bully, Now Her Beggar   Chapter 134

DYLANI watched her walk towards her mom. Her mom stood beside a black sports car with a smile stretched across her lips even after seeing the frown on Nova’s face she still held the smile with her arms spread widely as she got closer. But Nova just walked past her and got into the car ignoring her hug.Her mom waved at me still wearing that same bright smile like nothing happened and then she got into the car. I stood there watching as they drove away, the sound of the tires fading slowly until they disappeared down the street. I found myself staring a little longer than I should have, not really at the car but at her and how different they looked from each other. Her mom had lighter features, soft blonde hair that almost glowed in the sun, and fair skin. Nova on the other hand was nothing like that. She had darker features, thick brown hair that always seemed to fall in her face, and her skin tanned like it had soaked up every ounce of the sun.It wasn’t strange though. It happened
