Anora's POV

When we arrived at the location of the party, I suddenly recognized the place. C5 Hotel. The same hotel Andrew and I spent that unforgettable night six years ago. My pulse quickened. Of all venues, why did it have to be here?

The driver pulled up to the front, where a long red carpet stretched toward the building like a stage.

Just as Andrew had warned, the paparazzi and the reporters of different television shows swarmed outside.

Celebrities I only knew from magazines glided past, smiling effortlessly as though born into this world. This wasn’t just a party. It was one of those parties, the kind only the most powerful received an invitation to.

“It’s time,” Andrew said, stepping out with the ease of a man who belonged. The moment he appeared, the crowd erupted, reporters pushing forward like bees drawn to nectar.

He circled the car and opened my door. I placed my hand in his and stepped out, nearly blinded by the barrage of flashes. My grip tightened on his hand, harder

Anora’s POVMy stomach clenched the moment the question left his lips. The way his eyes locked on mine, sharp and probing, made me feel like he could dig through my chest and uncover the truth I’d been burying for six long years.No. He couldn’t find out. Not about her. Not now.“You saw someone who looks like me?” I forced a small laugh, trying to make my voice sound casual even though my throat felt tight. “I don’t have a daughter, Sebastian. You probably just saw a random kid.”The lie rolled off my tongue, but it left a bitter taste, like chewing on metal. I tried not to flinch, tried to steady my breath, but guilt slid down my skin like cold sweat. His silence was worse than words. He just stared, his gaze unreadable, studying me like I was a book he intended to finish in one sitting. Every twitch of my expression, every flicker in my eyes, he was reading all of it.Finally, he leaned back slightly. “Maybe you’re right,” he said softly. “Just a coincidence.”The relief that hit m

Anora's POV While I was folding the last of my clothes into the suitcase, the front door creaked open. Vanessa’s voice carried through the living room, followed by the sound of Sara’s light footsteps running across the floor.“Mommy!” Sara called out, her tiny arms wrapping tightly around my waist.I scooped her up, hugging her so close I could smell the faint trace of crayons and cookies on her clothes. My chest squeezed. How was I supposed to leave her tonight?“How was school today, princess?” I asked, brushing a curl from her face.“Fine, Mommy,” she said, then leaned forward to tuck a loose strand of my hair behind my ear. Her small gesture melted me. I kissed her forehead and lowered her to the ground.“Your lunch is on the table in the kitchen,” I told her softly. “Go eat, okay?”She nodded with a big smile and skipped toward the kitchen, humming a tune as if the world was nothing but sunshine. When I turned back, Vanessa had collapsed onto the couch like she had carried the w

Sebestain's POV The little girl’s lips parted, her eyes sparkling with the innocence of someone about to reveal the one truth I needed. My heart stalled in my chest as I waited for her to speak. But before she could say a word, a sharp voice cut through the air.“Sara.”The name cracked like a whip.I flinched, my head snapping up. We hadn’t noticed the figure standing just beyond the elevator doors. Vanessa. She lingered there, dressed in the usual cleaners uniform and motionless at first. Her gaze flicked from me to the child, something unguarded—worry, maybe—slipping across her face. It was gone in an instant, smoothed over by the cool, professional smile she wore like armor.“There you are,” she said, her tone calm but firm. She stepped forward with the quiet authority of someone who expected obedience without question. Her knees bent gracefully as she crouched, reaching out a hand. “Where did you wander off to, hmm? You had me worried.”Sara’s face lit up. She darted from the co

Sebestain's POV I arrived at the company later than usual that morning. The moment I stepped through the glass doors, heads turned. It wasn’t unusual. Eyes had followed me for years, a price I’d long accepted for living in the spotlight. I ignored the stares, my pace steady as I headed straight for the elevator. The doors slid open with their familiar chime, a sound I’d heard a thousand times in this steel-and-glass tower. Normally, I’d step in, swipe my card against the panel, and stare at the doors until they shut, giving no one else inside more than a passing glance. But today, I froze.A little girl, no older than six or seven, stood in the far corner of the elevator. She clutched a doll with fraying braids, stroking its dress with the kind of care that only children gave to worn things. Her wide hazel eyes blinked up at me, curious and unafraid.A smile tugged at my mouth as I stepped inside. What was a child doing here, alone in a place like this? She could get lost in a second

Clara's POVI pulled into the wide driveway of my parents’ mansion and killed the engine, the tires crunching against the polished stones. Without a second thought, I tossed the keys to the waiting chauffeur and strode toward the house, my heels striking hard against the marble steps.Inside, the air was thick with tension. My parents sat in the living room as if they’d been holding court all day, waiting for my return. My father, perched forward on the edge of the couch, looked up the second I entered, his face dark with impatience.“Where have you been? You weren’t answering my calls,” he demanded, rising to his feet.I didn’t answer. His calls had been nothing but pressure, pushing me to plaster a fake smile and show up at Mr. Blackwood’s birthday party, like nothing happened between me and his son. I tightened my grip on the strap of my bag and silently made straight for the staircase.“Clara.” His sharp tone halted me at the foot of the stairs.I paused, spine stiff, refusing t
