Liz POV: After gym my day has went pretty fast. Before I knew it, it was lunch time. Yay food! I’m such a foodaholic. It’s ridiculous but at least it’s not all junk food. It’s all food in general. Luckily our cafeteria has different items to choose from. It’s pretty much a buffet. I grab a bacon cheese burger and sides, fries, side salad, a salted caramel brownie and ice cream along with a bottle of cherry Coke. I pay for my food and go sit at our table in the corner. I start eating when Louise sits down opposite of me. “Hey Liz. How’s it going so far?” she asked with a smirk playing on her lips. “Pretty good.” I gav
Alec POV: Robbie and I get back to the pack house and jump out of my truck. We go to find my father. As we walk up the steps to the Alpha office Jess is coming down. She smiles at me and gives me a hug. “Hey Alec. I’ve been looking for you today. Where have you been?” She asked with a pout on her face as I pull out of her arms. “I went to the human school with Robbie. Wanted to see how different it was from our pack school.” I say as I look at Robbie. He rolls his eyes at me and keeps walking. “I have a meeting with my dad. I’ll come find you when I get done. We need to talk.”
Fast forward to Friday afternoonLiz POV: I can’t believe how fast this week has gone. Seems like Monday was just yesterday and was walking in to the school for the first day. Now, it’s the end of the first week and I’m walking out the doors after the final bell. Tomorrow is the day Louise and I will be moving into the pack house. Robbie told us earlier in the week that plans had changed and our hang out day will now be Sunday mid-morning. I’m honestly happy about that. I might be to drained Saturday to want to do much of anything. I get home and hear my mom in the kitchen. “Mom, I’m home.” I holler at her. “In the kitchen sweetheart.” I hear her say as I walk in. “Yum! What smells so good?” “I made shepherd’s pie for dinner. It was your dads favorite and I haven’t made it in so long. I figured we would try tonight.” She said with a sad but happy smile. “I can’t wait mom. I’m going to go put my bag up.
Surprisingly I woke before 8 am. That dream was just something else. I roll over and grab my phone off of my side table to turn it back up. I see a few text from Louise and to my surprise one from Robbie. I open that one first.Robbie: Are you ready for today?Me: I’m… Idk. LOL. Nervous, I guess. While I wait on his reply, I open Louise’s messages.Louise: Hey so about that dream… Louise: Call me as soon as you get up! I hit the call button and wait for her to pick up. After the second ring she answers. “Liz! Thank God. I have something weird to tell you.”
We arrive at the pack house and it’s like its own town. Like, so many people just running around playing, heading somewhere else or just lounging around. I look at my mom who is smiling and start chewing on my bottom lip. Nervous habit I do when I am freaking out or thinking/concentrating really hard. “Honey, you are going to be ok. The first few days will take some getting used to but you got this.” She said as she parks the car. She turns her head towards me and smiles. I look at her and give her a small smile. “I know mom but you aren’t going to be here and it’s making me worry.” “Baby, look at me.” She said. I look over. “Even though your dad isn’t here he is always with me. Even though you won’t physically be with me in the house, you will be with me too.” She said pointing to her heart. “Plus, you will get to come see me every weekend after training and we can also try to make dinner dates if you want. I am only a phone call away b
As soon as we walked in the door some people stopped and stared at us. Louise didn’t seem to mind. We just took a step to the side so we weren’t blocking the entrance and look at our surroundings. There where around 15 long cherry tables throughout the room. One of them being placed at the very front and center for the Alpha, Luna, Beta and their families. Each one with delicately crafted high back chairs with Silver Moon pack inscribed on the back. There had be over 70 people in here right now. I swallowed the lump in my throat and looked at Louise. “You ready for this?” I whispered to her. She slowly nodded her head and we walked over to the line of people at the buffet table. We slowly get through the line and make our way over to a table in the far corner away from most people. We both have our backs towards the wall so we are look
Alec and Robbie turn and look at me with shocked faces at the news of my parents. I know they are well known through our pack because my parents were the best fighters and also the elite pack warrior trainers. Kind of like the black ops for special mission trainers. But a lot of people didn’t know that we still lived around. Alpha James tried his best to hide us and let us live among the humans after my dad was killed. He didn’t want us reminded everyday of what happened. I took the interest of my shoes to a whole new level so I didn’t look at them. One of them cleared their throat before I felt arms around me. I looked out the corner of my eye and seen it was Louise. She always knew when I needed comforted. I sighed, gave her a one-armed hug and brought my head up and held it high. I looked over at Robbie and seen he now had a huge smile on his face. Then I looked at Alec and seen the smirk. “Now I know why you were able to beat my ass that day.
“Thank-you Sophia. It’s definitely nice to meet you and your mate Adam. Even though he seems kind of quite.” Louise said with a scowl on her face looking at him. He looks shocked and Louise and I bust out laughing. “Don’t mind her! She loves to give people a hard time.” I said laughing and hit Louise’s arm. “Jeez woman! You don’t have to be so violent.” She said pretending to be hurt. Which caused all of us to laugh harder. Especially Adam. I see him lean into Sophia before whispering in her ear.
