The night came faster than Isaac could imagine and expanded to days. He had watched Gemma every night. Sarah and the rest seemed to come over every morning and bring what they could, food especially. The door locked, and Gemma hurried into her bedroom, finding everything related to Juan. She took a big box out and angrily cleared them. Her favourite things from him and the worst gifts she got from him. "This is so ridiculous," she pulled back, sitting on the floor watching her room torn apart. She covered her face in anger, tightened her grip on her hair, crying in silence. Every time she recalled what had just happened, her wailing became so loud that she couldn't control it. "Hey, it's okay," Isaac rushed over to her, pulling her closer to his arms, "it's gonna be okay," He assured her, holding her tight. As time passed, Gemma was discharged and finally returned to her apartment. She opened the door, and things were still how she had left them. She had so much to do, cleaning, throwing things away, she had a lot. She picked a picture of her and Juan from the ground, staring at it, but instead, she thought of him, Isaac. She had rejected his proposal, and ever since then, she had only seen him once, when he came to say goodbye to her. "Date me," He said, "I promise to treat you better and love you," He continued. Time stopped for a moment in Gemma's world. She wished, as it stopped, she could plant a kiss on his lips, but she wanted to make a run for it. The next day, Gemma's eyes opened, and her room was bright and shining. The ray of the sun interrupted her sleep, and she huffed, rolling and stretching, exhausted from being awake. She glanced at the time, and it was past nine in the morning. She smiled and got out of bed."Gemma!" her mouth yelled. Gemma rolled her eyes, entering the bathroom. She picked up her toothbrush and toothpaste, ready to brush her teeth. She hummed along to the rhythm of playing along in her head."Gemma!" Her mother called again. The event started, and the lights went off. They began by introducing the new company on a wide screen and stopped. "Hmm," a figure sat opposite them. The lights came back, and Gemma's eyes met Isaac sitting right before her. "I present you, Mr Isaac Dale," the voice echoed. Gemma looked at the man calling out for him. She looked back at him. "Hey, Gems." He smiled, and Gemma stared at him, stunned. Isaac still looked good as always, like a male model pulled out of a movie, tall, sexy and handsome. A small smile curved her mouth. She couldn't look at him. Isaac smirked and got up, heading to the stage. Her eyes followed him, and she clutched her dress. Why he messaged her? she wondered, Anita, holding her hands.
