Paige's POV

"I am so sorry, Cupcake, I didn't mean to scare you, I promise I am not going anywhere" Jace murmured pulling away a little, his hands still wrapped around my waist.

"I can't leave you ever, I still need a whole lifetime to make things up to you and show you up much you mean to me" he continued his lips trailing down to my neck.

"You..." Kiss

"Are..." Suck

"Mine..." Kiss

"Never forget that, Cupcake" he concluded as his lips got to my collarbone.

"I will try not to" I muttered trying to hide my smile at the way he stiffened.

"That's not enough, Cupcake, I need you to know that at all times" he whispered holding me tighter like I was going to disappear any second from now.

"I am here for you and the twins, to be everything I have not been all these years" he assured his attention drifting back to my body as he tweaked my already hard nipples through my silk gown.

"You are making it quite difficult to pay any attention to your words" I murmured running my hands through his h

Paige's POV"Mum, you know you really don't have to do this," I said as I walked into the kitchen."And why not? It's just cookies and I am definitely not complaining" She responded as she grabbed a tray from the counter and walked back to the oven."I know but it's not a big party, we barely have up to twenty guests" I explained."Doesn't matter, the more snacks the merrier, I am sure the twins will finish a tray all by themselves, let's not talk about Jace and Brandon" She replied."If you say so" I shrugged, walking over to the cupboard to grab a glass for my morning tea."Come and have a taste" Mum offered excitedly as she dropped another freshly baked tray of cookies beside the other three."I would love to but my taste buds are trash these days, I would probably not give a good review" I explained already feeling my stomach churn, bile rising to my throat, morning sickness is the worst."I don't want a Review, I already know how good my cookies are,

Jace's POV I noticed the way Paige kept glaring at me as we prepared for bed, anger in her eyes but she didn't say anything, she didn't seem like she was going to do so either."Cupcake" I called out softly from where I stood in front of the closet."Yes?" she answered plainly, taking out the pins that held her hair."Are you okay?" I asked knowing it was a very stupid question to ask at this point."I should be asking you that" she responded, her voice too calm for the kind of anger pouring out of her."I don't look fine to you?" I asked, cocking my head to the side."Don't ask me questions that you already know the answers to Jace" she snapped, turning to face me. Now there she is." I thought it was Jay you are having issues with?" she questioned with fury in her eyes."Yes, why?" I answered. "Then what's the animosity between you and Brandon? Lisa complained about it earlier today and I was able to convince her it wasn't anything serious and then I witnessed what I did over dinn

Paige's POV "I think we should do our baby shower together," Lisa suggested, dropping the curler she was holding."You think?" I repeated."Yes, you know since..." She wanted to explain but I cut her off."Of course we will, why would we even do it separately in the first place?" I questioned staring at her with raised eyebrows."Ohh, you got me scared, I thought you didn't like the idea" She breathed."And why wouldn't I, it will be so fun" I gushed."We should do it by the garden, something small and beautiful," She said excitedly."I love the idea, we would only invite family," I added."Exactly, we don't need many people, especially with everything going on" She agreed, picking up the curler once again to continue with my hair."We could tell the guys about it over dinner tonight" I suggested."It would be better so Mum can make her own suggestions too if she has any," I said."Yeah," she murmured, her voice drifting off. I watched her through my dressing mirror as her eyes kept

Jay's POV"Sir, there is someone here to see you" My secretary informed me over the phone."I am busy right now, ask whoever it is to wait" I responded in a blank voice, my eyes fixed to my laptop screen."Okay Sir" She answered. There was a minute of silence before she spoke up again,"Sir, she insists it is urgent and she has to talk to you now" "She?" I questioned, perplexed."What's her name?" I asked."She said I should tell you Catherine is here to see you" She answered. The Queen finally shows her face here."Let her in," I instructed, taking a deep breath to calm myself. I love her but I wouldn't let her treat me this way anymore. "Jay?" She called out from the door, knocking quietly before pushing it open."Come in," I said calmly, looking up from my laptop screen. She stood at the door for a while with hesitation in her eyes before walking in. She was dressed in pure black like she was mourning someone, a black turtleneck with black office pants, her whole body totally co

Unknown POV "I thought you said nobody knew anything about you or why you were there?" I snapped angrily at the incompetent fool I had placed in their house."Nobody knew, I swear," he defended."So why did he suddenly dismiss you?" I yelled."I do...n't know, he said he wan...ted to handle things himself now and he didn't mean any harm, he even offe...red to pay me some compensation for the lack of warning, he didn't seem to know anything" he stuttered."And you believe he suddenly doesn't want you anymore without any valid reason? Are you that stupid?" I cursed, pulling his hair back so he could look me in the eye."One job, just one fucking job, and you couldn't do it," I shouted."You can't seriously be blaming the poor man after the stunts you have been pulling lately" Her snobby voice filled my ears."You better not say any fucking thing to me, or his life would be on you too," I snapped, turning to glare at her."Always with the threats, if I were you I would be beating myself

Jace's POV "Clear my schedule for the rest of the day" I instructed my secretary as I walked past her."Okay Sir" She quickly answered, noticing my mood. I couldn't get his words out of my fucking mind, he is lucky he left when he did cause it would have been a real battle, he didn't have the right to speak to me in that manner for any reason.I sacrificed for him too or did he think because I was silent and taking everything, I didn't make sacrifices for him, he never for one day bothered to tell me how he felt and now he comes to blame me like I was always out for him. ~~~~"Good day Sir" Alfred greeted, hurriedly opening the door to the passenger seat for me.I nodded in acknowledgment before getting in, not in the mood for anyone."Anywhere specific, Sir?" He asked, starting the car"No, just take me home" I responded, my gaze fixed out the window as I watched people go about their daily lives. Did everyone always have a problem at different poi

Jace's POV"Could it be?" I asked, skeptically."Think about it, Arthur was the one who recommended we hire Alfred after your previous driver resigned without any notice, you did say he never gave a valid reason for doing so right?" Paige explained."Yes," I answered, watching her intently waiting for her to get to the point she had in mind."And then in the space of one day, Arthur suddenly had this really good driver he recommended and since he had worked so well and diligently all these years we accepted, he knew we wouldn't suspect anything because we had trusted him and he used it to his advantage, I think whoever it is behind all of this, knew that Arthur was one of our most trusted staff and used him" "It has to be Alfred" Lisa said."Wait Karla, is that why you emphasized on locking it from the inside too?" I asked, finally putting the pieces of the puzzle together."Yes, the person had to have been close by to have gotten as far as the twin's room without anyone noticing" Mu

Paige's POV"Mum, what do you mean by we have been living with the enemies?" I asked, in shock."What did she say? Why are you both looking like you just saw a ghost?" Jace asked with Brandon trailing behind him."I don't know but Mum believes the person behind all of this lives with us, she said someone was hovering around in the kid's room earlier this evening" Lisa spoke up."Wait what?" Brandon escaped."Come sit Mum," I said softly leading her back to the sitting room."Where are the kids? Is anyone hurt?" I asked once she was more relaxed, Jay and Brandon didn't come down with them, and with how scared Mum is I don't think she would have left them in their room."No, everyone is fine, Your Dad and Carlos took them somewhere safer" She answered in a low voice."And you didn't go with them?" "I had to stay back in case you guys came back so you could know what was happening since no one could get a hold of any of you" She responded."Risking your life in the process? You could ha

Paige's POV"You should wear the red dress, it fits you more" Lisa advised as I walked out of the closet."You think so?" I asked skeptically."I know so," She said with certainty."The red dress it is then" I exclaimed going back into the closet. ~~~~"Perfect" Lisa gushed out as I walked out, excitement dripping off her."I don't even need to ask then" I chuckled, giving her a twirl. It is a red short dress that stops above my knees with bows all around it, it has net sleeves that expose my skin and collarbone in ways that I know would cause problems for Jace while Lisa has a black burgundy dress on that flower to the ground with a slot on the left that stopped right below her middle thigh. It worked its magic perfectly, highlighting her beautiful baby bump yet keeping things sexy and classy."You really don't, you look fabulous" she exclaimed."Thank you, I feel awesome and comfortable too," I responded, patting the gown down."Let it
