Chapter 3

{Sunny's POV}

"Brother, isn't today Mike's birthday?" Jessica asks me as she rushes downstairs to catch up with me just as I get prepared to leave for my best friend's house.

It's been long since I last visited Mike. I stopped going to his house because his parents warned him to tell us to stay away.

I had asked Mike why. He said it's because of his baby sister. But Maryann isn't a baby anymore. She is 18 years old, and I am desiring to see what she will dress like in a bikini or short seductive dress.

Mike is possessive of his sister. I last saw Maryann at the high school graduands' party, when I went there to represent my parents.

My father is a billionaire CEO, travelling around the globe with Mom, who worked as his secretary before they fell in love and got married. Till date, they rarely make time for my sisters and me. And so, I had to represent Dad and attend Jessica's send-off from high school.

That was the only time I got to see Maryann. But she was dressed in a black graduation gown and an overly long green dress that prevented me from seeing how endowed she now looks.

I know that Maryann is my best friend's sister and I'm not supposed to admire her. But I cannot help it—I crave to see her. I desire to know how far she has grown and if I can chase after her or not.

I'm not a saint, but that doesn't mean that I don't have special desires.

When Jessica rushed to meet me in the living room of our standard duplex before I left the house, she asked me, "Brother, aren't you going to Mike's house? Can I come over? Please…"

I frowned and bluntly refused. "No. You should focus on your studies for your admission into the university. You cannot come. Besides, Mike doesn't want to see you. He complained to me that you bullied Maryann in school. You cannot claim to like Mike when you hate his sister." I crossed my arms over my chest and bluntly refused to allow Jessica to follow me. She and I cannot be in a relationship with two siblings. I have tried to stop her from following me in the past. But then, she is young, and our parents don't support me leaving Jessica alone in the big house with her nanny. Now she is 19. I cannot continue to babysit her anymore.

Jessica is wearing a blue night dress. I had wanted to slip out of the house before she awoke, but she knows it's Mike's birthday, since he already posted his invitation on his social media page, and they live only two streets away from our home.

"Please…" my sister claps her hands in a pleading manner. It's not that I hate Maryann. She is just so annoying, and most of the boys in our class crush on her, but she is just too clumsy to know they admire her. She acts like a dummy too. And I hate that she is getting more attention than I ever got."

My sister's face darkens at the memory of Maryann attracting all the boys in her class.

I frowned too, even though I wasn't supposed to be happy. I feel this ache in my chest that other guys get to see her while her parents are preventing me from getting close to her.

I try to keep my emotions at bay. My sister cannot be aware that I secretly admire her rival in school. That will make hell break loose, and I don't want Jessica to confess my feelings to Maryann before I do. After all, Maryann is my best friend's sister.

"Jessica, Mike warned me not to bring you over. Besides, it's his home birthday party. He tells me that he already acquired a house which he's yet to announce to his parents. So he wants to celebrate this birthday as the last birthday with them before he completely moves out. After all, we signed with international football clubs too."

"Are you moving out?" Jessica asks, her eyes widening at the mention of that.

"Probably," I caressed the back of my head. "I am still yet to inform Mom and Dad. But I am certain they will be home before three months is over, before the new football season premiere starts."

My sister smiles and says, "That will be great. I will have the whole house to myself."

I frown and cut off her joy. "You will be moving with me or stay with Linda. Don't think Mom or Dad will let you stay home alone, before you fụck all the street boys."

My sister pouts. Of course, I know she is not a virgin even though she is admiring my best friend. She has been in several failed relationships since she turned 18. So long as she plays safe, I don't bother myself with her sèxual life. After all, we are rich, so she is only doing that for fun.

"About Mike's house. Fine. I promise not to bully Maryann. I will get along with her. Please. This is my one chance to get close to him. I really want to be his girlfriend. Why can't you talk to Mike on my behalf?"

"No way. You cannot date Mike. He's a bad boy. He dates two women and is into threesomes. You should find your level and keep away from my buddy."

"But he's your best friend. I don't care if Mike is into threesomes. I don't mind fụcking him."

"Jessica…" My face darkens at my sister's blunt statement.

"No way. You are not going to Mike's party, and that's final. Just stay here. You are not his type."

I ignored my sister's sullen face as she felt hurt to hear me say that. After all, she is open to me about her interest in my best friend. But I cannot talk to Mike about her—not when I have Maryann on my mind. So it's best Jessica stay at home and not come to Mike's birthday party.

I also skipped having my breakfast with her. And I know she is stubborn and will find her way to Mike's party, but I certainly hope she doesn't bug him and goes on her numerous dates instead.

Exhaling, I get into my red sports car and drive off to my best friend's father's house.
