  The woman spoke first, in a taunting tone.

Vera said nothing. She had forgotten her, and wanted nothing to do with her.

The woman mocked her silence “Vera Qin, don’t pretend you don’t know me.”

“I wish I didn’t know you,” Vera replied, looking coldly into her eyes “I deel disgusted just talking to someone like you.”

Vera was surprised at how much hatred this encounter seemed to elicit in her. She didn’t realize that even after all these years, she still hasn’t moved on.
