Chapter 34

　　Vera avoided speaking with Sean Qiao under the pretext of cooking. This man is poisonous. She was afraid that his indifference and ruthlessness might rub off on her if she comes into contact with him too often.

Vera prepared dinner quickly. She prepared more because there were more mouths to feed today.

The four people sat around the dining table and began to eat.

“Daddy, let’s eat the food Auntie made for us,” Thomas Qiao spoke politely. He was smiling very brightly, and he seemed to be in a very good mood.

While Vera was cooking, Sean Qiao was in the living room pretending to read a magazine while observing Thomas Qiao. He seems very happy here, with a smile on his face. He isn’t normally like this at home.
