Chapter 9

May continued, \"Mom is telling you, you must not have conflicts with her over this juncture. The Mo family is a mess now. And our Gu family can’t be criticized if they don’t interfere. If Henry calls you then you should better attitude is better, don\'t let him think that you two are quarreling.\"

Richie frowned and looked unhappy. He could only say perfunctorily \"I know\", and hung up. He then dialed Joanna\'s cell phone, which turned off as expected.

Joanna\'s cell phone is usually in a state of always open in case of emergencies. And this is rare. He hesitated and called his sister-in-law in the apartment.

  \"Is Mrs. Zhang there?\"

\"My wife never came back since she went out yesterday.\"

Richie lowered his eyes and said quietly, \"If you see your wife, let me know.\"

After he hung up, he found Jillian\'s number and dialed it.

Joanna was awakened by something licking her cheeks. When she opened his eyes, she saw a big cat squatting in front of her eyes, with two big round eyes looking at her, like two gems, piercing and energetic.

Seeing that she was awake, Tammy swept her big fluffy tail across Joanna’s face, then jumped to her chest and stepped back and forth. The little thing was a bit healthy, and it was quite heavy as it stepped on her body. Joanna\'s head was still a bit woozy, so she stretched out her hand and squeezed the cat’s cheeks. Pinching the big pie-like face, she muttered, \"Why are you up so early in the morning?\"

The little hairball shook her hand away, and continued to jump on her, completely waking her up.

Joanna sat up, ignored the struggle of the hair ball, pressed it into her arms. She stretched out her hands and rubbed her eyes. She looked at the little thing in her arms, and asked, \"Are you asking me to get up?\"

\"Hey there, Drunk idiot!\" Jillian called out to her.

Jillian pushed the door open while carrying a bag of cat food. Hearing this, she couldn\'t help but show contempt. Jillian ignored her as she poured the cat food she bought from the supermarket into a bowl and waved at the hair ball, \"Little Fat cat, come over and eat.\"

Tammy widened its eyes, arched its body and stepped on Joanna\'s legs, yelling out a \"meow\" at Jillian, but did not rush over.

Jillian raised her eyebrows, \"What do you mean by this?\"

Joanna glanced at the tightened hairball’s face, hesitated for a moment, and said, \"It doesn\'t like people saying it is fat.\"

Jillian glanced at her contemptuously, shook the cat food, and exclaimed, \"Pretty lady, I have dinner.\"

The hair ball jumped off Joanna\'s legs and squinted to enjoy the cat food.

  Jillian couldn’t believe it...

It had a short mouth. When eating, its face is buried in a saucer, and its head was shrugging, like a big hairy ball, Jillian squatted aside and watched while having fun.

The hair ball noticed her sight, and her pupils turned into a vertical line. It slowly moved her chubby body, facing her hairy butt.

  Jillian...

\"Joanna, this cat is cute! Don\'t let people say it’s fat and don\'t let people laugh at it!\"

Joanna\'s voice soon came from the bathroom.

\"It\'s afraid of you robbing her for food, don\'t keep staring at it.\"

  \"How virtuous!\"

Jillian\'s mouth slumped, and as soon as she stood up, the phone rang. She glanced at it and found that it was Richie. The good mood just disappeared. She took the phone to the balcony and picked up the phone-talk, coldly. , \"It\'s really surprising, President Gu actually called a small person like me-what?\"

Richie ignored her sarcasm and asked coldly, \"Is Joanna with you?\"

Jillian sneered, \"Your wife didn\'t go home last night and you just remembered to look for her now! I thought you had forgotten about Joanna when you were so happy last night.\"

\"I don\'t need you to talk more about me and her, let Joanna listen to the call.\"

\"I\'m sorry, you don\'t need to take care of her. Richie, I have never seen a hypocritical man like you. Since I cared so much about your true love at the beginning, I’m partly to blame. Don\'t push all the responsibilities on Joanna. When you get to Joanna, the burdens are yours to bear. If you don\'t want to, then who can force you? Joanna is stupid and you must have a one track mind. You can go screw yourself for all I care!\"

Once Jillian finished speaking, she hung up the phone. She felt sick if she continued to talk to that kind of person for a second more!

Putting away the phone, she turned her head and found that Joanna was behind her. She did not know when she was standing there. Her quiet eyes were like stagnant water, invisible to the waves. Love can make a person, and it can also ruin a person.

Jillian flicked her forehead and muttered, \"What’s with that look? Let\'s eat!\"

The apartment where Jillian lived was shared with a girl named Eula Zhang who works in the hospital. It had two rooms and one living room, although not big, but two rooms were enough.

Joanna was sitting at the table drinking soy milk. She glanced at Jillian who was wearing sportswear opposite of her and asked, \"Aren\'t you going to work today?\"

\"I’ll go on duty at two o\'clock in the afternoon.\"

Joanna wanted to say something more, but Tammy suddenly crawled into her arms along her legs, and its front paws were lying on the dining table, staring at the fritters on the plate in a daze.

  \"You can\'t eat this.\"
