"I didn't leak any information, Capo, I swear." Darren, the man in charge of all my shipments coming to Italy, said.

(Boss.)

I bobbed my head, carefully repeating his words in my head. The sound of my shoes hitting the floor was the only thing audible in the almost empty warehouse. I frowned a bit when I stepped on a thick glob of blood.

"All the cameras were down before the robbery, I can't find anything on the security footage. The place was empty before the cameras shut down, someone worked with the culprits from the inside." Bianca, Theodore's assistant, informed me, her voice echoing through the walls since she was standing next to Darren near the entrance.

I nodded to that, my head tilting at the floor as I walked further into the room.

I sank my hands into the pocket of my suit, loving the way the fabric felt so smooth under my palms.

I should pay my tailor extra for picking out this fabric.

"Shouldn't we do something, Boss?" Bianca asked, her voice skeptical. "We could still find them if we spread out our men right now, they couldn't have gotten far with almost twenty containers worth of guns and powder."

"Yeah, she's right, Capo," Darren said, his voice getting louder as I walked further into the warehouse. "Dovremmo chiamare il resto."

(We should call the rest.)

"What time did they break in?" I asked, speaking for the first time.

I heard Bianca tap away on her keyboard before answering.

"Approximately two hours from now, sir," she answered loudly.

"And they left when?" I asked, the clicking of my shoes getting louder as I went in.

"Twenty minutes before we arrived." She replied.

I hummed to myself, one of my hands coming out to rub my jaw. I need to shave, Isabella hates it when my stubble touches her face.

"You had at least 15 minutes to get away," I spoke halting my footsteps a step away from the end of a container.

"Sir?" Bianca called assuming I was talking to her.

"I bet Emilio would kill you if you returned either way, trust me, he hates dumb people," I said taking out my gun from my waistband. "And I hate them even more."

I calmly removed my gun from the safety and walked ahead, stopping when I came to the end of the container and turned to face the culprit.

Sean was one of the guys that looked after this warehouse. I never thought he'd be brave enough to join hands with my enemy and try to break me but at the same time, I knew he wasn't trustworthy of being here.

Ever since Theodore told me that Emilio's family came to Italy two weeks ago, I knew he must've been planning something with this place. That's why I needed to find someone I could plant here. Someone that could easily turn their backs on me.

So, I found Sean, he was on the run from the cops anyway. He killed his mom four years ago, she caught him stealing from their safe and he killed her with a pair of garden shears because he didn't want to hear it from her. He has been on the run ever since.

I saw him on the news and had Theodore track him down. He found him near the dumpster of a perfume shop back in Florida. I pretended to know nothing about him when he was brought to me, I told him that I wasn't interested in knowing his back story all I wanted was a man to work for me in Italy. He took up the offer right away.

He is an easy target that deserves death in every way possible. He's been here for two weeks only and he's already burned up to his expiration date.

Pity.

I waved at him with my hand that held the gun before shooting him in the shoulder and chest simultaneously. I went to shoot his neck before he could fall but my gun clicked, I had run out of bullets.

Frowning at how loud Sean was screaming, I waited for Darren and Bianca to come, their running footsteps added to the noise I dreaded hearing.

I like it better when it's quiet.

"Please have mercy, Lorenzo," Sean yelled.

I tilted my head as I looked at his bleeding body. His chest was oozing blood uncontrollably.

Mercy?

"You're far from mercy, Sean," I said frowning at the blood he was sputtering from his mouth.

Gross.

"You'd die even if I let you be," I explained crouching down to his level, handing out my palm for Darren to place his gun. "So let me kill you, I have a meeting that I have to, unfortunately, get ready for."

Darren understood quickly. I hummed in satisfaction when the cold metal touched my palms. He and Bianca stood behind me panting heavily.

"Lorenzo, please let me live, I beg you," Sean begged again making me roll my eyes.

"I explained it to you," I sighed trailing the gun up his chest and stopping at the center of his neck, exactly where his vocal cords should be.

"You'd still die you fucking runt," I said pulling the trigger.

I closed my eyes when blood spurts out. I sighed when I felt the warm liquid trickle down the sides of my face making hair stick to my jaw.

When I opened my eyes, I found out that his body had stilled, he was already dead. I reluctantly handed Darren his gun back.

Bianca handed me a clean handkerchief which I accepted silently but only used to cover Sean's face.

"Now," I said standing up. "What I need is a bowl of hot soup and a bath," I said pushing out a warm wet strand of hair from my forehead.

"On it sir, I'll have everything ready before we arrive at your destination." Bianca sprang into action tapping away on her phone as she and Darren walked behind me.

My phone rang as we walked, and I picked it up already knowing who it was.

"Did you track them down?" I asked stepping over another thick glob of blood making sure not to spoil my shoes.

"Yup, our men have already cornered them, don't worry they'll finish up the work, go take a nap or something," Theodore said making me chuckle.

"At least you're of some help even from where you are," I said.

"Yeah, I know I'm a cool guy looking after your kids and doing your little tracking stuff. But at least now they've got a hot nanny to look after them. Honestly, I wish you'd let me hire her and find the children another one, I want her to pamper me." Theo blabbered making me roll my eyes.

"I thought I told you to leave the nanny alone, Theodore," I spoke coldly making the line go silent for a second.

"Stop being so cold to me, Zo." He whined. "Also, Isa liked her so you might have competition when you come back." He said I could tell he was being smug from his voice.

I pursed my lips at this news. I will never have a competition, I am Isabella's favorite, I have always been even when her mother was still breathing.

"Sure," I replied shortly, and he laughed from the other end.

"I gotta go, make sure that you don't tire out my assistant there buddy, she was on her two-week break." He said.

I stopped walking so I could turn around and catch a glimpse of the woman in question which caused her to look at me questionably.

"I'll think about it," I hummed making him snort.

"Oh, you better, I'm not the one who told you to choose your sister as an assistant, you know she's never on standby." he huffed.

"Later, Theodore." I sighed hanging up on him.

As we reached the exit, I took off my watch and suit handing them to Darren. I unbuttoned the cuffs of my sleeves and rode them up to my forearm.

"Find someone to clean up that mess, the goods will be returning soon," I said to Darren.

"Of course, Capo."

"Also, that watch needs to be cleaned, see that it returns to me before my meeting tomorrow, that's my favorite watch," I explained, and he nodded in understanding making me nod too.

"Bianca, I'll drive myself back to my house, you're dismissed," I told her.

"Thank you, sir," She said bowing her head slightly. "I'm just a phone call away if you need anything, sir, I have everything that you requested sent to your location." She informed handing me the car keys.

"Great," I said as I collected my car keys from her. "Nice work, all of you." I complimented as I walked out of the warehouse.

My men who were standing guard outside their cars bowed their heads in greeting when I came out. I got into my car and drove away, watching as they followed suit one by one.

My fingers rapped on the steering wheel as I skillfully drove down the street. My head was throbbing, and I knew it was because I stayed up last night preparing a fucking worksheet.

Fucking business meetings.

"With all your support I'm sure we can achieve our goal, Mr. Moretti." The representative of the company said with a fake ass smile.

Looking at his watery blue eyes from across the table, I tilted my head. He must think I'm fucking dumb.

We're planning to invest in mass steel production. They are planning to use a steel company that hasn't been doing quite well and they don't even have the number of workers we need for the amount of steel we're trying to produce. I'm supposed to invest about three million, alone.

The least they're contributing to this is their useless time and a few thousand dollars. So if things collapse and production falls out, I'll be the one in danger.

I sighed shaking my head as I rubbed my temple.

"Mr... Richmond?" I drawled looking at the name list on the paper placed in front of me to find his name.

"Yes, Mr. Moretti?" He answered, again with a fake smile.

I'll carve that into his face permanently if he keeps it up.

"Do you know how many hours it takes to fly from Florida to Italy?" I asked curiously as I twirled a pen around my fingers.

He looked at me with confusion.

"No?"

"Of course, you don't," I spoke instantly placing the pen down and sitting up straighter. "It takes hours, too many hours and I'm never going to get that back because I am a very busy man. I suggest you play your cards right whenever you think of doing business with me." I told him watching as his eyes widened.

I chuckled lightly looking around at the faces of the whole board gathered in the meeting before letting my face slip and fall into a cold gaze as I stared at the man himself.

"That company is a tail away from bankruptcy and I am supposed to be your scapegoat in this foul play of treachery? Do I look like a person you can easily trick? Please do tell me because, for the life of me, I do not see why anyone would want to waste my time when I have many other resourceful things to do and far more important issues to deal with." I said making his face redden.

"How much is this company itself? I can own you if I want and I will if I give it a second thought. I am a man far out of your reach, Liam Richmond, don't ever think you'd meet me in casual circumstances like this if it weren't for business." I said as I stood up allowing my secretary to gather all the paperwork I came with.

"Now if you excuse me," I said, walking straight out of the room without glancing back.

My secretary, Xara quietly followed behind me as I exited the building.

When we reached outside, I took off my suit jacket and watch handing them to the driver who had already opened my door for me.

"Take me to the airport," I told him, and he answered immediately.

I turned to my secretary before I got inside the car.

"I'm going back to Florida, I'll send my brother to Boston to represent me for the next meeting, he'll meet you there."

"I understand sir." She said nodding her head. "Have a safe trip, sir."

I got into the car and took out my phone to call Bianca, she picked up after the second ring.

"Mr. Moretti, sir,"

"Tell Darren he can keep my watch safe till I come back, or I'll put a bullet down his throat." I relayed.

"I will sir, have a safe trip." She responded.

"Enjoy your break, Bianca," I said before hanging up.

I groaned massaging my temple as I leaned into the seat. I'm so tired.

And I need to see my children.
