"Mom!" Dashing inside the door, Zander went on his knees with an unconscious Reyne who was dripping wet in green sticky slimy stuff covering every inch of her body.
"Zander, Ryley!!! What is this? Is that... Is that Reyne?" His mother was sitting on the couch with Milan by her side, teaching her drawing.
But as soon as she witnessed her son and his best friend slump on the floor with an unmoving body of a fragile girl that looked awfully familiar, she left her spot and with a quick run, sat from across Zander on the ground.
Her eyes were wide opened, mouth unlatching and latching again and again as she struggled to put her emotions in words. She was beyond petrified. Her hands reached out to touch Reyne's face behind that nasty thick layer of green liquid that had covered her skin while her teeth clenched together.
