Liam's POV

Somehow, I left his place after some hours. The silence was stifling and suffocating. I could not take it. I took the car that brought us back and instead of going to my house, I went to a park that was close to Ava's place.

I put my head on the steering wheel and different thoughts started to run through my head. It was like every single thing that could happen, was happening to me at once. My phone rang and I picked it up. It was Ava. I immediately swiped to answer the call.

Ava's POV The news of our break up, well, that said more about being in a relationship was accepted more than I had thought or anticipated. People were like they already knew that we were not in a relationship. And that there was no way someone like him would be in a relationship with someone like me. That had hurt but then, I did not put it to mind. The other set of people were like we were in a relationship and that there was evidence about it. I read a comment about someone saying that there was a particular time an expensive sports car brought me to my school and I knew it was someone from there. They must have been part of the people that witnessed it then. All in all, the news did what it was supposed to do. Get people off my back. But then, my feelings and heart were in shambles. After the whole thing that has happened. He's not called me and neither have I called him too. It was like we both never happened at all. I missed talking to him. I can't count the number of times

Ava's POV I had not walked two steps out of the office when I felt him chase after me. He all but pushed me into a corner that was not far from the office and when I looked at him, I could almost feel the panic and worry that was rolling off of him. “Tell me you did not mean what you just said in there.” He whispered furiously. “You can't do this here. People will walk by and they will us. You don't want to add to what …..” “Answer my question Ava. You do not mean that right?” He emphasized each of the words he said. I bit my lip. I could not look at him. My heart was beating very fast and I could feel my breathing coming on too fast. And that is not good for me at all. I closed my eyes and tried to steady my breathing. “I meant every single word of what I said. We are ending things. Hell. I'm breaking up with you.” I said in a very strong voice and I patted myself on the back for not wavering one second as I spoke. “You don't mean that. We spoke the other day and we were good

Ava's POV When dad's call came through, I knew it was not going to be good. I decided on ignoring him but I knew that would not be a good idea. So, here we are. “You know the implications of what dropped?” He asked and I nodded quietly. “Did I do something wrong by any chance?” He asked me and I looked up at him with genuine confusion on my face. “I told you expressly when you first stayed to work here. I told you that you should stay away from all of them. That they should stay off you. Apparently, he did not think the rule applies to him. And because of what you did, he might have to face some consequences.” “What?! Consequences how?” “You did not think I was joking about his suspension right?” “Dad! That's ridiculous. Is it a crime to be in love with him? I love him, dad. He means so much to me.” I found myself saying. Even as the words spilled from my lips, I could feel how true they were. Even though I had not said it to him before. Even though I had never said it to his fa

My phone rang and I picked it up. It was Ava. I immediately swiped to answer the call. “Hey babe.” I said. I'm sure I sounded as desperate as I felt but I did not care. “Hey you too. How are you doing?” She greeted me in a small voice and I felt relief flooding through me. It was as though she was the one that could do that. “I'm here.” “I'm sorry all of this is happening to you.” She said. I could almost hear the guilt in the way she was sounding. “Don't do that. If there is anyone to feel guilty about this, it would be me, okay? And besides, I'm good. I just can't go over to my

Ethan's POV Immediately the words left my mouth, I cringed. Hard. I was not Thu king when I said it. It felt as though there was this thing that pushed me to say it. I thought that if I brought up something else, he would stop thinking about what had happened and he would stop being miserable. Because he looked like he was actually miserable. “What did you just say to me?” His voice strayed to me after almost like hours of me saying what I had said. “You heard me.” I replied and stood up from the couch, walking to the far end of the room in front of the top to bottom glass that allowed me to see what was going on below. The flashes of lights and the cars that were moving. There was no sound getting in because of the soundproof, but I could only imagine the chaos that was going on down there. “You cannot jyts drop something like that and act nonchalant about it. Why are you telling me this now?” He asked again. I took a sip from my drink and continued to stare. “I thought it was

Liam's POV The silence in the room was deafening. It could be cut through with a glass. I kept the expression on my face as neutral as possible, so as not to give anything away. “I'll pretend like I did not see the news Kane. I want you to explain what this is right now.” I was sitting opposite the coach in the conference room. We were alone after we had done the general meeting and he asked me to wait behind. I was expecting him to bring it up, but he did not. The guys had this weird edge to them since the news dropped. I did not care about any of them. My only concern at the moment was the fact that Ava was not picking up my calls and I've not been able to reach her. I drove down to her place the other night after I was able to escape the paparazzi smarming my place. But when I got there, it was no different too. Part of the disadvantages of being famous. I hate that I had to drag her into all of this. “What do you want to know, coach?” I asked him, trying as much as possible

Ava's POV “I don't want to.” I told Ethan for the hundredth time since he decided to be on my ass. “And why is that? You're on the team.” He said. “Since when did you care about me being on the team's roll? I mean, you've always wanted me off.” I told him to make sure to put as a matter of fact

Ava's POV The ringing of my phone was what woke me up from sleep. I ignored it at first but when it started to ring the second time, I picked it up and saw that it was Lana. Ava's POV “Please I don't want any mistakes. And make sure to follow the concept to the T. Thank you.” I told the person in charge of the photoshoot and she nodded. Lana's POV:“Of course not. I'm just kind of exhausted. That's all.” I said, hoping he'd drop it. The look on his face showed that he was not ready to drop it because he was not taking what I said seriously, but he did drop it which I was thankful for. He took me by the hand and walked me over to
