HAYDEN’S POV

The rumor about Lilian was now spreading fast.

By noon, people weren't even pretending anymore. I could see heads tilting as I walked by, whispers curling through the quad like smoke. My phone had been buzzing nonstop. The group chats were on fire, and the T*****r page had lots of comments.

Someone had already decided that I was now collecting friends, like Pokémon cards.

I didn't bother opening any of it.

I was halfway across the campus when I saw her pushing through the crowd.

It was Ella Knox, it was Stephen’s ex, and my fling. And because the universe apparently hates me–she was Lilian’s best friend.

Her blond hair was pulled into a tight ponytail, her jaw clenched so hard it could break in half. She spotted me and locked on, eyes sharp with jealousy and rage.

Ohhhh. It was about to get ugly.

“Hayden.” She grabbed my arm. “We need to talk.”

I stopped walking but didn't turn to face her. “Wow, that’s funny. I thought you were avoiding being seen with me.”

She flinched. “There are reasons…”

“Yeah?” I finally looked at her. “Because from where I'm standing, it looks like you disappeared the second people started trolling me.”

Her mouth opened, then closed. Around us, I could see students slow down and try to pretend they weren't paying attention.

She noticed it too as she exhaled, “please….” She whispered. “Not here.”

I laughed, bitterly. “Now you care about the audience?”

She exhaled, then tugged my sleeves again. “Come on.”

I sighed, and against my better judgment, I followed her. She didn't stop until we were behind the bleachers. It was concrete and well hidden. The noise from the campus faded, replaced by the echo of our breathing sounds.

She turned to me. “Is it true?”

“Is that true?” I snapped.

“Don't do that.” Her voice shook with anger. “My friend and you? People said they saw you two together…..filtering. That you…”

“That I fucking smiled at someone?” My chest felt hot with rage. “Well congratulations, Ella. You can arrest me for that.”

“You know it wasn't just that.”

I stepped closer, my eyes narrowing. “The fucking say what you have in that damn mind of yours.”

She hesitated. “Are you replacing me?”

Something in me cracked. “Replacing you?” I repeated. “Ella, you fucking vanished. You wouldn't answer my calls, you didn't want people to see us together after the fucking scandal about the dick you call a boyfriend.”

“Ex….Stephen is my ex.” She interrupted me.

“I don't give a fuck. You let people drag my name through the mud….and suddenly, I am the problem?”

Tears swelled in her eyes. “You don't understand what it is like.”

“No,” I said, coldly. “I fucking do. I understand exactly what it's like to be embarrassed by the person who’s supposed to be on your side.”

That hit hard. She looked away. “Stephen….”

“Don't…” my voice rose at the sound of his name. “Don't you fucking bring up his name. I didn't do it for myself. You chose to fuck me and you fucking enjoyed that shit.”

Her shoulders sagged. “I was scared,” she whispered. “Everyone was watching. My friends, the school, the blogs. I didn't know how to stand next to you without it blowing back on me.”

I saw, allowed, anger and something worse clawed up my throat. “So you decided to pretend I didn't exist."

Everywhere went silent. Then after a while, she stepped forward.

Her hands slid up my chest; she was hesitant at first, as if she were testing whether I would push her away. When I didn't, she closed the gap, her forehead brushing my collarbone.

“I don't want to lose you.” She murmured.

I stiffened. I could feel my dick getting harder but I kept my cool. “That’s not a freaking apology.”

Her fingers tighten around my shirt, as she finds my nipples and plays with them, making me gasp. “I know.”

She tiptoed and kissed me.

I pulled back immediately. “Ella.”

She didn't stop. Her lips traced my jaw and neckline. “I messed up,” she said in a fucking seductive tone. “I know I did. Let me fix it.”

“This isn't fixing it,” I said even though my dick and voice betrayed me. I was so fucking tuned on.

She pressed me back against the cold metal rails, her eyes looking into me. I could see how clouded it was with lust. Her hands dipped downwards, squeezing my dick hard. I let out a soft moan.

“Tell me you don't want to bend me over and fuck the life out of me?”

I didn't answer. I couldn't think of the way, she was stroking my dick, which made me forget a lot of things. She took my silence as a ‘yes’ and ran with it.

She unzipped my trousers and brought out my rock-hard dick. Her eyes shone with satisfaction. She wanted all of it.

She stroked it slowly, causing me to moan. “fuck, I missed this.” She said,

I hated her talking. I guided my dick to the entrance of her lips and slammed into it hard. I left out a satisfied moan as my dick hit the back of her throat. I held her head in placed and I fucked her little digitized lips, hard. I watched in pleasure as she choked on my dick.

“fuck, yes…take that dick. You slut.”

I could feel my nut sack shrinking. I was about to cum and I wanted her to swallow every last bit of it.

“fuck….I'm about to cum. You are going to swallow every last bit of this.”

I slammed into her lips harder and in the next stroke, I cummed so hard. I watched her smile as she took all my cum down her throat.

She pulled her dick from her mouth. “Fuck, I love the taste of your cum.”

“Yes, you do bitch.”

She got up, touching herself. I knew she was soaking wet and a part of me wanted to go down and lap up that pussy juice like a starved dog but I held myself.

She saw my hesitancy. She bent down backward to give me a view of that pussy. Fuck!

“I don't want to. I also don't want you, Ella. Wear your fucking clothes and leave I don't ever want to see you.”

She looked shocked. “Hayden.”

I walked out without looking back. “Fuck off bitch.”

  • RIVAL'S TO LOVER'S: My Step Brother Is Now My Roommate    Chapter 66: A Straight Disaster

LILIAN’S POV Waiting outside the economics building is more boring than I expected. The hallway is crowded with students pacing, flipping through notes, or whispering last-minute formulas like prayers. A few of them are even muttering to themselves. Honestly, it’s kind of terrifying. Exams turn perfectly normal people into lunatics. I lean back against the wall near the entrance, scrolling lazily through my phone while I wait for Hayden to finish. The exam started almost an hour ago, which means there’s still plenty of time before anyone comes out. But I told him I’d wait. So here I am. A couple of girls nearby are complaining loudly about how hard the exam was last year. “Professor Dalton always asks trick questions,” one of them says dramatically. The other groans. “I’m going to fail.” I roll my eyes and slip my phone back into my pocket. Hayden won’t fail, not after the insane amount of studying he did with Stephen. The thought makes me smile a little. I’ve never seen

HAYDEN’S POV:The next morning is awkward, painfully awkward.I wake up later than usual, groggy from barely sleeping and with the memory of last night replaying in my head like an annoying song I can’t turn off.Stephen is leaning closer. His eyes dropped to my mouth and the tension in the air and me bolting like a complete idiot.I rub a hand over my face and groan into the pillow.“Fantastic,” I mutter to myself. “Exam day and I’m losing my mind.”After a quick shower, I drag myself out of my room and into the living room. Stephen is already there.Of course he is.He’s sitting on the couch with a mug of coffee in one hand and a book open in the other, looking like the picture of calm, controlled focus. Like last night never happened. My stomach immediately knots. For a second I considered retreating into my room and pretending I didn’t exist but it was too late.Stephen looks up and our eyes meet and the silence that follows is so thick it feels like walking into a wall.“Morning,

HAYDEN’S POVIf someone told me yesterday that Stephen and I would spend twelve straight hours studying together without killing each other, I would’ve laughed in their face.Yet here we are.Day one of preparation starts with him ripping apart my entire understanding of economics.“Wrong,” Stephen says flatly.I glare at the paper between us. “You didn’t even look at it.”“I don’t need to.” He taps the notebook with his pen. “Your formula is already incorrect.”I stare at him. “You’re unbelievable.”“And you’re skipping steps…..again.”I groan loudly and drop my head back against the couch. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”Stephen doesn’t even bother pretending. “A little.” Of course he is.The living room floor is covered in books now. My books, his books, printed lecture notes, and empty coffee cups. We’ve basically turned the dorm into a war zone of economics.Stephen sits across from me at the table, perfectly composed as usual. His sleeves are rolled up and his hair is slight

  • RIVAL'S TO LOVER'S: My Step Brother Is Now My Roommate    Chapter 53: The Uncomfortable Twist

STEPHEN’S POV:Hayden doesn’t come out of his room all day. I noticed it around noon.Usually, even when we’re fighting, he eventually wanders into the kitchen for food or coffee or whatever junk he lives on. Today? Nothing. No music blasting through the walls, no sarcastic comments when I walk past his door, no sound at all. It’s… strange.I sit at the small table in the living area with my laptop open, pretending to focus on the research paper due next week. The screen is filled with graphs and notes, but I’ve been staring at the same paragraph for ten minutes. My eyes flick toward Hayden’s closed door. It was still quiet.“Good,” I tell myself.Let him suffer. He is the one who refused help.I lean back in my chair and try to focus again—the words on the screen blur together. Two days. If he fails that retake, he’s expelled.I rubbed my temple while I reminded myself that it was not my problem, except Mom made it my problem and she’s definitely going to ask how studying went.I exh

STEPHEN’S POVThe moment Mom’s assistant texted me “Your mother needs to see you immediately,” I knew something was wrong.Mom doesn’t summon people just like that and she definitely doesn’t interrupt my day unless it’s serious.I step into her office twenty minutes later, loosening the tie around my neck. The place looks exactly like it always does, immaculate, intimidating, and ridiculously expensive.Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook half the city, sunlight reflecting off the glass buildings outside.Mom is standing near her desk, flipping through a folder.Hayden is sitting on the couch and that alone is enough to ruin my mood.My eyes narrow slightly. “What’s he doing here?”Hayden glances up lazily from his phone, sprawled across the couch like he owns the place. “Nice to see you too, brother.”I ignore him and look at Mom. “You said it was urgent.”“It is.” Her tone leaves no room for argument. She closes the folder and walks toward us, heels clicking against the floor.Hayden s

HAYDEN’S POV:The dean’s office smells like polished wood, coffee, and the faint scent of paperwork that’s been sitting in folders for too long. It’s the kind of place where people come to hear life-changing decisions, which is exactly why my stomach feels like it’s slowly tying itself into knots.I sit in the chair across from Dean Adler’s desk, leaning back even though every muscle in my body is tight. My arms are crossed, jaw clenched, eyes fixed on the framed degrees hanging on the wall behind him.Ranging from Harvard, Stanford, and Columbia.Yeah, this guy takes academics seriously.Dean Adler flips through a file in front of him, his glasses perched low on his nose. The quiet sound of papers turning feels louder than it should. Finally, he looks up. “Mr. Cross,” he says calmly.I force myself to meet his gaze.“Yes, sir.”He taps the file lightly. “You’re aware of the accusation made against you?”My jaw tightens. “Yes.”“And?”“And it’s not true.”He watches me for a moment, l
