I don’t know why but for some reason, my lips curled in a wicked smile as I watched her reaction. A minute ago, I was scared of spooking her but now, I was enjoying her reaction too much.

“I’m sure your fighting instructor will be shocked at the fact you did not notice someone creeping up to you.” I said, rubbing salt on her injury.

Surprisingly, she recovered faster than I expected and jumped to her feet. She bowed so low, I was scared that just a little more and she would fall on her face, as she greeted me.

“Princess Sophia,”

I cocked my head to the side as I stared down at her bent head.

“Raise your head. No need to bow so low,”

Her head came up so fast I winced, thinking she would get a whiplash. I don’t know why I approached her, I did not know what to say to her either so I turned away and walked to pick the book that she was reading but flung away because of me. I’ve never had the urge to approach anybody to be my friend in her entire time on earth.
