Chapter 005

ISABELLA'S POV…

I returned to Kristen's ward with his lunch after getting a list of healthy meals he was allowed to have from his nutritionist ..

He was fully awake when I walked in..

His eyes trailed after me as I walked towards the coffee table and unpacked his meal before placing it into a bowl..

I went over to his bed side cautiously and sat down beside him but this time around he didn't really say a word and only stared at me..

“ The doctor advises that you only eat healthy meals for now..” I said with a smile but of course I got no response.

But to my surprise he opened his mouth when I brought a spoonful of congee to his lips..

He quietly ate his meal and I was glad he didn't get mad at me again but of course Kristen always had something to say..

“ How did we meet?” Kristen decided to ask one of the questions I didn't wanna answer, especially now that he couldn't remember a thing, he was bound to misunderstand the whole situation.

“ Maybe we should wait till you get better, then we can talk about it..” I tried to change the subject but Kristen wasn't here for it..

“ I can't seem to wrap my head around how I ended up in a marriage with you..” Kristen said without holding back and I dropped the spoon angrily..

“ Yes! You got married to me! What's the big deal about it!” I Snapped at him angrily and his lips curled upwards in satisfaction..

“ Are you gonna tell me how I ended up in a loveless marriage or should I find out about it myself?” Kristen was persistent even though I'd gotten mad at him..

I took a deep breath and decided to talk to him calmly.

“ Your mom and my dad wanted us to get married after I got back from abroad and you agreed to it without hesitation..” I calmly explained while clearing out his plate..

“ After hearing this I don't think I wanna remember.” my hands trembled when I heard his words..

“ How could you say that, Kristen? What about me?” I tried not to let my tears fall as I grabbed hold of the plate tightly..

“ Stop crying, Damnnit!” He half yelled at me but groaned in pain and I immediately ran towards him without hesitation but simply slapped my hands off ..

“ Don't touch me.” He sternly said and retracted my hand slowly..

I picked up the plates without hesitation and walked towards the private kitchen and tried to keep the messy stuff even though I haven't done it before..

At first it was a bit difficult doing the dishes but after wasting a good amount of water and dish soap I managed to clean the plates and finally it was time to clean the kitchen which had turned messy thanks to me..

I also cleaned up the kitchen and was completely exhausted before walking towards the room but the door pushed open and someone walked in immediately..

“ Kristen, Sweetie!”

I snapped my head to the direction of the door and was surprised to see Iris.

Why the hell is she here?

“ Oh my goodness, Dear are you okay?” Iris rushed towards Kristen and wrapped her arms around him and to my surprise Kristen didn't try to push away or had the look of disgust in his eyes..

His eyes were simply cold and blank, no one could tell what he was thinking..

“ Take your hands off my husband, whore..” my eyes glared daggers at them and Iris stylishly took her hands away from Kristen while grinning from ear to ear..

“ Oh Isabelle, I didn't you were there..” she faked a smile and sat down on the bedside..

“ Why are you here?” Kristen spoke with a straight face and Iris smiled shyly and tucked a strand of her hair behind..

“ I came as soon as I heard what happened to you, My love..” Her voice seems to have softened as she spoke to him and I couldn't help but roll my eyes..

“ You've seen him now, you can leave.” I calmly said but she ignored me and turned to Kristen to answer.

“ Are you okay, dear?” Iris tried to touch his face but he caught her wrist before she could touch him.

“ Get out..” Kristen calmly said but Iris refused to move an inch..

“ You're hurting me, Kristen..” She forced a smile but he suddenly pushed her away from him..

“ Get out!” He snapped her and she scrawled away immediately..

My lips curled upwards in a smile and I quietly walked towards the bathroom and picked up a bowl and a warm towel…

I placed the bowel on the moveable table and sat down beside him..

After keeping the towel aside, I gently helped him get outta his shirt and slowly began wiping his body while he kept his eyes on me..

I carefully wiped his back and moved over to his abs which were as hot as ever..

I also took the liberty of wiping his face and down to his collarbone..

Once I was done wiping his upper part, I kept the towel aside and was about to pull the sheets over his body when he suddenly spoke..

“ What about over here?” He pointed at his lower part and I gulped down nervously.

Even though we'd been married for four years, I couldn't help but feel shy, especially now that he's a different person entirely..

A faint blush tainted my cheek as I tried not to look embarrassed..

“I-”

“ we're married so it shouldn't be a big deal but of course if you can't do it then it's fine…” It was obvious he was trying to taunt me and I'm definitely not gonna let him win..

“ It's okay I'll do it..” I mumbled and picked up the towel and slowly brought it to his Lower part and gently moved my hand into his trousers and began wiping him over there while he kept his eyes on mine..

I tried not to act affected as wiped his private areas and surprisingly he kept a straight face all throughout the moment like nothing had happened..

I took my hand out once I was done and stood immediately and hurried towards the bathroom with the bowl and towel in my hand ..

I heaved a sigh of relief once I was in the toilet and splashed water on my face so I could clear my head before returning to the room..

I adjusted his bed after helping him back into his shirt and only returned to the couch after making sure he was comfortable..

I'd just leaned against the couch when I suddenly dozed off..
