Standing in the parking lot, my eyes piqued with curiosity, patiently waiting for Elodie. I had tried reaching her countless times but her number wasn’t reachable. However, when Alexander told me that she was stuck in a board meeting, I was awash with relief.

In a matter of seconds, a smile formed on my face when I spotted her from afar walking with Alexander as they both seemed to be engrossed in each other’s conversation.

I leaned down, reaching my hands for a bouquet and I was about to approach her when I stopped in my tracks and there was this dark aura that swirled around me at that moment.

Something was wrong somewhere and I could feel it deep in my bones.
