Broken Bones

Elodie’s P.O.V

I stirred awake, strong arms wrapping around me and when his scent wafted through my nostrils, I knew that he was here. Half awake, a faint smile appeared on my face, mumbling. “You are here…….” I squinted my eyes, trying to check the time and it was just 2 am.

“What!” I exclaimed, rubbing my hands on my eyes while he stood from the bed.

“Did you wait for me all night?” A lopsided grin curled around the corner of his mouth.

“I did but you came home pretty late…..” My words trailed, a faint groan leaving my lips as I palmed my forehead.

“I had no plan of staying that long outside and I apologize. Do you still want the ice cream?” He asked while I still rubbed my hands on my eyes, trying to have a proper view since I still felt sleepy. I muttered, yawning. “No! Tomorrow…….”

He flashed me a smile as I curled in a fetal position while he began drying his hair. Staring intently at him, something seemed weird about him that I couldn’t place.
