Unseen Eyes

last update Last Updated: 2025-06-06 19:58:47

The Alpha room, normally a place of strength and authority, felt tense.

Lucas and Liam sat across from each other in the large room, the silence between them almost suffocating.

Lucas ran a hand through his dark, tousled hair, his eyes narrowed, staring at nothing in particular.

His posture was rigid, a reflection of the conflict brewing inside him.

Beside him, Liam was no better—his jaw clenched, his eyes fixed on the floor as he processed the events of the day.

It had been hours since their altercation with Ethan, yet the anger still bubbled beneath the surface.

“I should have done more,” Lucas muttered, his voice low but tinged with frustration.

He was usually the calm one, but Ethan’s insolence had tested his patience beyond its limits.

His thoughts were consumed with images of Lily, struggling in the grip of that man, the arrogance in Ethan’s every word.

Liam sighed, leaning back in his chair, his arms crossed over his chest.

“I know, but if we went too far… it would have caused more problems than it solved. The last thing we want is for Lily to feel suffocated by us.”

Lucas clenched his fists, his anger flaring again.

“But it’s hard to just sit by and do nothing when that prick touches her, talks to her like she’s his property. I know she can take care of herself, but…”

Liam’s gaze softened as he turned to look at his brother.

“But she doesn’t want to be treated like a fragile flower, Lucas. We can’t keep protecting her from everything. It would break her spirit. She’s Luna for a reason. She’s strong, and she can handle it.”

Lucas exhaled sharply, his shoulders slumping in defeat.

He knew Liam was right.

Lily had never been the type to cower in the face of adversity.

She had fought for everything she had, even when she was being bullied by them in high-school.

But it didn’t make it any easier to see her caught in a dangerous situation with someone like Ethan.

Before Lucas could respond, there was a knock at the door.

“Come in,” Liam called, his voice carrying a hint of relief at the distraction.

The door creaked open, and in stepped Lily.

Her face lit up when she saw them, the tension in her eyes replaced with a warm, radiant smile.

“Hey, you two,” she greeted, her voice playful. “Guess what I got? An invite to the Midnight Bonfire tomorrow night! It’s going to be so much fun! Did you get one too?”

Liam grinned.

“Of course we did. We’re VIPs, remember?”

Lily’s laughter filled the room, and Lucas couldn’t help but smile at the sound.

“You guys still seem tense,” she remarked, her brow furrowing. “What happened earlier with Ethan? Are you still thinking about that?”

Lucas sighed, running a hand through his hair.

“We just don’t like seeing you caught up with him. He’s dangerous, Lily. And every time we step in, it feels like we’re overstepping. But we can’t just sit back and watch him treat you like that.”

Liam’s voice was quieter, but equally intense.

“We care about you. A lot. We want to protect you, but we also don’t want to make you feel like you need us all the time. You’ve shown us time and time again that you can handle things on your own. But that doesn’t mean we have to like it.”

Lily’s heart swelled with affection for both of them.

She knew they only wanted what was best for her, but she wasn’t some helpless girl in need of constant rescuing.

She was their Luna, their equal, and she would never allow herself to be treated any other way.

She reached out and gently cupped their faces, her touch soft but firm.

“I know you care,” she said softly, her voice filled with warmth. “And I’m so grateful for that. But please, don’t worry so much about me. I’m not some delicate flower. I can handle myself, I promise. I’m not weak.”

She leaned in and kissed Lucas on the cheek, then Liam, her lips lingering just a moment longer.

There was something about Lily’s touch, her presence, that always seemed to have this effect on them, leaving them breathless and yearning for more.

“You don’t have to protect me from everything,” she continued, her voice lowering, becoming more seductive. “I can take care of myself. I’m strong enough to handle any asshole who thinks they can control me.”

Liam’s lips quirked into a smile.

“We know you can, Lily. We’ve seen it time and time again.”

Lucas, his expression softening, nodded in agreement.

“You’re stronger than we give you credit for sometimes.”

Lily smiled at them, her heart full.

“I love you both, you know that?”

“We love you too,” Liam replied, his voice filled with sincerity.

The atmosphere in the room shifted then, a sudden, undeniable pull between them.

Their gazes locked, the unspoken desire between them rising like a tide.

Lily’s tone turned sultry, her voice a tempting whisper as she leaned in closer to Lucas, her fingers tracing the line of his jaw.

“I want to show you just how much I love you,” she whispered.

Without missing a beat, Lucas leaned down, capturing her lips in a kiss.

The moment their mouths met, the world seemed to fall away.

The kiss was slow at first, teasing, as though they were savoring every second of the connection. But soon, it grew more passionate, more urgent.

Liam watched them for a moment, his eyes darkening with desire.

As soon as Lucas pulled away, Liam was there, his lips capturing Lily’s in a kiss that mirrored the intensity of Lucas’s.

His hands roamed to her waist, pulling her closer, his body pressed against hers.

The room seemed to shrink around them, the heat between them escalating as they lost themselves in each other.

Their hands were everywhere—caressing, pulling, exploring.

It was all-consuming, like a fire that couldn’t be extinguished.

But amidst the chaos of their emotions, there was an unsettling presence in the background.

Unknown to them, their laptop on the desk had been left open.

The was off but the camera had been remotely turned on, and on the other side, Lena’s eyes were trained on the scene unfolding before her.

She leaned back in her chair, a cruel smile curling on her lips as she watched the passionate display.

“So, the Luna thinks she’s in control now,” Lena muttered to herself. “This is only the beginning.”

Her eyes flickered to the screen, her mind racing with possibilities.

She would use this. She would use everything.

Inside, Lily, Maya, and Graham were gathered in their room.Maya sat comfortably straddling Graham’s lap, her arms loosely around his neck. He had one arm draped across her waist, the other holding a book he had long abandoned in favor of listening to the conversation Lily had launched into the moment she shut the door.“I mean, can you believe him?” Lily said, throwing her hands up in frustration. “Touching me without my permission, smirking like a devil, and speaking like I should be flattered! Who the hell does he think he is?”Graham raised a brow, but it was Maya who replied first, her expression stormy. “He’s trouble, that’s who. There’s something not right about that guy. It’s not just arrogance. It’s... off. There’s danger beneath the surface.”Lily began pacing, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. “I tried to handle it myself, okay? I w
