Athena’s Explanation

/Selene’s POV/

“Atlas,” I whispered shockingly, I couldn't believe my eyes, I bent my neck down so he wouldn't be able to see me, my action warranted a suspicious look from the taxi driver but he didn't say anything, instead he kept on looking at the rearview, glancing to see if I'm okay. I know he's itching to know who I'm hiding from, but he respected my privacy which is very grateful for.

I was just hoping they haven't gotten to the motel I lodged in, I started bouncing on my knees, my body was shaking at this point because I can't let them catch me, I can't go back to the life I used to live, I know Atlas's plans for me would have intensified. I can't let innocent children live the kind of miserable life I lived. I was so carried away, I was lost in the field of thought, I was brought back to reality by a snapping of finger which got my attention and made me blink twice before frantically checking around to see if I’m being stopped by anybody.
