Hunter and over fifty of our men walk in and fill up the reception area. All in black with leather coats and gloves, mean looking and heavily armed, they claim the space and own it.

All the company employees are now out of their offices watching and our stupid boss is literally shaking.

I get off my seat and they all simultaneously go down on one knee and bow their heads.

Shit! Now I look like a real mafia boss.

I walk towards them and stop in front of Hunter with a sinking heart. The fact that they are here kneeling in front of me means that Leo was telling the truth. Father is no more.

“Speak.”

“Your father was executed yesterday,” Hunter says.

I don’t fall apart. The pre- warning Leo gave me and that brief period of recollecting myself was a blessing. The worse thing I can ever do is break down now in front of these men who are now under my command.

“Who did it?” My voice is calmer than I feel. I want to scream and tear everything down.
