Ethan Oliver Harrison's POV

It was meant to be a 'thank you’ hug, but Kane tightened his arms around me and he hugged me more intimately.

We stayed in that position for what felt like hours, and my lower half was starting to think of something unholy.

So, I kissed him. It was a brief, in-the-moment, kiss, and I'd expected him to react negatively, but Kane held me in place and deepened the kiss.

My tongue collided with his, and our spits tangled together. His tongue ventured deeper into my mout

Lambert Clementine's POVI sat down in front of my father. My fists clenched by my side. My eyes tried as much as possible to avoid his intense gaze.“Do you know why I brought you here?” My father asked, gritting his teeth.I shook my head, feeling a bitter taste in my mouth.“Since you're able to bring me to your cell, it means you still have your connection,” I replied, raising my head.“My connection? What stupid connection is that in the first place?” My father growled, hitting his fists on the table.“Look, someone powerful is behind this. I don't know why, but they are targeting our families and our allies. They don't want us to have any helpers, that's why they're hell-bent on sending all of us to jail,” My father's voice came out in a whisper, and he looked around to make sure that no one was watching. “I need you to find out who did this. Are you up to the task?”I finally looked my father in the eyes. He looked desperate, and his face was covered in sweat.I chuckled, befor

Ethan Oliver Harrison’s POVI slowly opened my eyes. But my eyesight took time to get familiar with the dark environment. A tear dropped from my eyes, and I didn't bother to clean it. Instead, I allowed it to roll down my chin I kept looking at the door, hoping he would come back and apologize for his harsh words, but it never happened, and my night watch was in vain.“Lies? He thinks my feelings for him aren't real? He thinks I'm just joking around?” I laughed bitterly. “That means I am also playing with my career. Such a bold assumption.”I clenched my fists. I stayed in bed, feeling too exhausted to pace around.I tried to stay awake throughout the night, but my eyes were tired, swollen, and red, and I dozed off.THE NEXT MORNING“Are you mad at me?” Kane asked for the umpteenth time when I refused to collect his water flask.Luckily, we were the only ones in the hotel's gym, and no one saw his overbearing behavior.“I'm not thirsty. What else do you want me to say?” I replied wi

Kane Hau Alexander’s POVI froze. “You like me?” I repeated his words.‘He likes me?’ My eyes stayed on him, searching for something… hesitation, doubt, anything that would make this easier to dismiss. But there was none. Only honesty, and his raw intense feeling. When I told Coach Marshall I wanted something in return, it was a lie. I never wanted anything. I just needed a reason… something that would stop Ethan from looking too closely at me. Something that would make him not think that I was doing all of this for him.“Have you forgotten what I told you in the beginning?” I asked, forcing my voice to remain steady as I looked away.Ethan’s eyes dropped. “No. You said you don’t believe in love… and you will never love me.” His voice cracked. “I’m not asking you to love me. I just want you to know how I feel.”Tears slid down his face, but I said nothing. Instead, I stood and walked to the window, staring out at the dark sky like it could give me an answer.“Do you even know me?” I a

Ethan Oliver Harrison's POVI was given a separate room, and my room was located in a secluded area of the floor. I knew who was behind it, but I wasn't mad at him.“Do you want us to share rooms? If you can't stay alone in one room, feel free to join me,” Daniel suggested, looking around my room.It was the biggest on the floor, and it had a great view. Coach Marshall refused to give me at first, but the hotel manager insisted that he was my fan, and he wanted me to stay in the best suite.“It's alright. I am used to staying alone anyway,” I replied to Daniel, and he nodded. He turned to leave, but stopped when he got to the door. “Hmm…” he stuttered, his eyes looking around anxiously.I furrowed my brows, wondering if he wanted to say something. “Is everything alright?” I asked him.Daniel turned to face me. “About Kane…”My eyes widened. “What about him?”“Hmm, we are not friends. Don't listen to the nonsense he was saying earlier,” Daniel stuttered, his eyes nervously looking arou

  • Hockey Rivalry: Bed first, game later    Kane meets Canada

Kane Hau Alexander's POVI boarded my flight to Canada. It was unexpected, because I was supposed to be in either London for the award ceremony or California for season training.Luckily, earlier that day, I had informed my manager about my trip, and he had changed my schedule. According to my new schedule, I'd have about four days to spend in Toronto, Canada, before heading back to California. And because I didn't want to arouse suspicion, I bought a new house in Canada, and I'd told my coach that I was personally renovating the house. When my plane landed in Canada, I booked a hotel, took a warm shower, and lay on my bed, hoping to rest for a while. Unfortunately, I dozed off. My growling belly and my phone's ringing tone woke me up the next morning. There were over twenty missed calls from Geneva, two missed calls from Eve (Ethan), and seven missed calls from Carl.I wanted to call Ethan, but I made a mistake and clicked on Carl's number. I tried to cut the call, but he picked it

Kane Hau Alexander's POV“How dare you?!” My father yelled at the top of his voice, his eyes blazing with fury.I sat still on the couch, unbothered by his shouting. My phone was in my hands, and I casually scrolled through the internet.“What are you angry about, father?” I asked with a calm voice. My father pointed his index finger at me, his eyes widened, but he was too furious to speak. “You this son….you—” he stammered, and began to breathe heavily.“Father, don't stress yourself. Little Hau is not worth your shouting! Also, the doctor said your blood pressure must be constant. You can't be stressed out every time,” Franklin, my sister, said with a smile, and gently tapped my father like the good daughter she isn't.My father looked like he wanted to argue, but Benjamin handed him a glass of water.“Take this, father. I will handle him, I promise,” Benjamin said to my father.I scoffed. “Handle him? Who? Me?” I paused and looked him in the eyes. “I thought my brother was dead al
