DON'S POV

But deep down, I knew it was more than just reminiscing. It was remembering all those moments when Accalia had made me smile, made me laugh, made me feel... something.

And as much as I tried to brush it off as the effects of village life, a small voice in the back of my mind whispered that maybe, just maybe, there was something more between us.

But then my ego kicked in again, reminding me that this was Accalia we were talking about. The same woman who rolled her eyes at my jokes and made fun of my cooking skills. There was no way she could ever see me as anything more than a friend... right?

I shook my head, trying to push the thought away. "Get it together, Don," I muttered to myself. "She's just your sex slave. Nothing more, nothing less."

But as I stole another glance at Accalia, laughing and chatting with the villagers, her smile lighting up the entire garden, I couldn't help but wonder if maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for something more.
