The Crescent Pack got its name because it is situated in a valley of the same shape, surrounded by mountains covered in lush greenery. The doctor had prescribed a period of two weeks for Paul to rest, and he was forbidden from straining his body too much.

There were a number of neighbouring woods for us to explore, and Paul and I were making good use of the time we were getting with each other.

We often took hikes to nearby mountaintops, and it was absolutely lovely to witness the fog wrap up its blanket from the valley and prepare for the day as we watched the sunsets together. When we were home, I had decided to pick up and refine the skill of cooking, and Paul was very happy and vocal with the new dishes I made for us.

Alpha Jack and Luna Lily used to host dinners for us almost weekly, and we became quite close in this duration. Because of his werewolf healing powers, his wound was filling up speedily, much to our delight.

Within two weeks, he was cleared for training by the ph

Paul's POV:The old healer’s library smelled like cedarwood and mildew. It was dusty and tucked away at the edge of the village like an afterthought. But it called to me.I wasn't supposed to be here. The villagers always murmured that the room was sacred, reserved for the bloodline of the healers. But I had long stopped caring for rules. Especially now… and especially after what I had done to the rogues. My body still ached from the way my bones had shifted, from the strength that had surged through me like fire in my veins. Alpha strength. And I knew.I knew they were hiding something. The library was dark, lit only by narrow streams of moonlight seeping through a cracked window. Shelves leaned with the weight of old scrolls, brittle tomes, inked records in languages I didn’t recognize. But one thing stood out. It was tucked discreetly at the back, but I pulled out the scroll to be able to see more clearly… my idea was right, it was a map.I pulled it from beneath a stack of dried

Jonas’ POV:I leaned my head back against the cold wall and let out a slow breath.I was older now.Stronger.Wiser.I wasn’t that scared, clueless boy anymore…staring at his sister’s locked door, confused by her silence and terrified of her pain. I was the captain of the rouges now. The man built from every mistake I ever made with Lexie. And now that Paul was finally out of the picture, now that I had the reins again, I was going to do what I should’ve done a long time ago.Protect her.She would never have to settle again. She had stayed with Paul because she had no one. Because she thought there was no way back home to her family, and this was the only love she was going to receive. But now, she had me. And I would make it right. I would find her someone worthy. A mate who would worship the ground she walked on. One who would never let her cry herself to sleep, or flinch at a raised voice. One who would love her the way she deserved to be loved. This was the beginning of a new c

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   142. My Sister

Jonas' POV: I paced the corridor like a man possessed. The wooden floor creaked beneath my boots with every step, but I didn’t care. The damned healers were taking too long. Far too long. What was going on in there? What were they doing to her? Lexie. My only sister. My hands clenched and unclenched at my sides, nails biting into my palms. I had faced rogue armies, signed death warrants, and stood stone-faced in blood-soaked war rooms, but nothing—nothing—prepared me for this kind of helplessness. The kind where your heart’s on the other side of the door and you’re not allowed in. They all call me cruel. They say I’m heartless, ruthless, a tyrant with no soul. Let them say it. Let them believe I’m made of ice. Because if the world thinks I’m a monster, then maybe it will think twice before ever laying a hand on my sister again. But truth? I was never cruel to her. Not to Lexie. I’ve never abandoned her. She was the light in a house that had too many shadows. I still rem

Paul's POV:Paul had been seeing fragments for weeks now… blurry snippets of memories he couldn’t quite place. Dreams came in flashes, voices muffled like they were speaking through water, feelings heavy like fog. But today was different. That morning, he had gone farther than usual during his daily run through the dense forest surrounding the pack’s retreat. His instincts pushed him past the familiar path, deeper into the trees where the air felt different—charged, like it carried a message.Something was calling to him.The deeper he ran, the stronger the pull became. His heart raced, not from exertion but from anticipation. Trees thinned, the light shifted, and a strange energy hung in the air like mist. And then, he stopped.A shimmer—barely visible, but present—stretched before him like an invisible wall. Paul extended his hand toward it, and the second his fingers touched the space, a jolt shot through his body. Not painful, but firm. Final. He stepped back, breathless.“What th

  • Scar : the rejected Luna   140. His Mate!!

Author's POV:Katrine slammed the door shut behind her, the sound echoing through the walls of her newly assigned cabin. Her chest heaved, hands clenched into fists at her sides as she stood in the middle of the small room she had only just begun to call her own. It was supposed to be a symbol of change… a gesture from Jonas, silent but meaningful, after her fruitless trip to the Apollo pack. A cabin of her own, privacy at last, a flicker of hope that maybe, just maybe, things would finally start shifting in her favor. But no.Now, the hope that had fluttered timidly in her chest turned black and bitter. Her fingers snatched the handmade curtains she had hung with care just two nights ago and ripped them from the rod. The fabric tore with a violent hiss as she threw them to the floor."You coward!" she screamed, her voice ragged with rage. "You lying, hypocritical coward!"The bookshelf, barely filled with a few treasured books and framed sketches she had drawn herself, toppled with a

Paul's POV: I woke with the echo of Lexie’s name still scratching at the back of my throat, but the world I opened my eyes to was no longer made of fire and cliffs. There was warmth and the soft glow candlelight illuminating the room. I heard the gentle scrape of a chair leg. “Good,” Elara whispered, her voice low so she wouldn’t startle me. “You're awake.” She was already at my side, changing the dressing on my shoulder with practiced hands. I’d torn it again, probably from pushing too hard the day before. She didn’t scold me. Just worked in silence, her touch careful, respectful. “You keep healing too fast,” she said, trying to make it sound like a joke, but I heard the worry beneath it. “Your skin knits back like it’s racing against time.” “What if I'm really running out of time?” I muttered under my breath, not meaning anything in particular. She glanced up. Our eyes locked, and for a second I couldn’t breathe. Elara had this way of looking at me that made the room go s
