47. A Decision Made

The following morning,After an all-night vigil, Lydia and Rose returned home to freshen up and have breakfast. Rose had proposed a plan to fly Freya out of the country, which Lydia encouraged, and urged her to discuss it with her husband. As they entered the living room, they found the Mayor engrossed in the news. Their footsteps caught his attention, drawing him towards them. "Good morning! How was your time at the hospital?" He queried, they both look exhausted.

"It was fine, he's still unconscious. Do you have a moment? I need to speak with you." Rose asked, while Lydia headed upstairs.

"Of course. Please, take a seat." He gestured. She nodded and settled opposite him.

"I wanted to discuss Freya with you. I'm planning to relocate her, she will be discharged soon."

The Mayor's expression paled, the idea didn't seem to please him.

"Are you suggesting we move her? I'm sorry, but she can't leave the country."

"We can't ignore what happened. Please, allow me to take her out of the count
