Sienna

It’s been two months since I came to New York. Adrian had advised me to stay here a little longer. I planned to return soon.

Living in New York had been… refreshing, in a way. Ava did her best to take me out, keep me distracted. And for a while, it worked.

But every night, when I laid down to sleep, I thought of him.

Lucian.

Everything reminded me of him.

Ava thought I was moving on, but all I’d really done was confine the crying and breakdowns to the nights. I still missed him. I still wanted him. But I couldn’t forgive him—not after everything.

Adrian told me what happened. He told me how Lucian had come to him, begging to see me. He had looked nervous when he asked if I wanted to meet him. I didn’t even stop to think. I told him no.

Because I knew I wouldn’t survive it.

I couldn’t look Lucian in the eye and forgive what he’d done. What happened to his sister was tragic, yes—but that didn’t give him the right to destroy the lives of everyone else around him.

  • Sins of The Mafia   Chapter 87

Lucian Four Months Later “I told you to find out who was responsible, dammit!” I yelled at the restaurant worker in front of me. He didn’t flinch. Just nodded once and walked away. That’s all I did now—snap at people. Every little thing sent me over the edge. “You’re still a joy to be around,” Nico muttered as he strolled up beside me, whistling. “Shut it,” I snapped. It had been six months since I made the biggest mistake of my life. Since I destroyed the people I cared about most. Sienna. Adrian. I’d tried to reach out to Adrian. Sent him packages. I didn’t dare go in person—he’d promised to shoot me on sight, and I believed him. Every box I sent was returned… full of bullet holes. I stopped retaliating against his warehouses. I ended the war from my side. Not out of weakness—but because I knew I deserved every hit. I tried to destroy Adrian’s family. I succeeded. He wouldn’t let me see her. He made that clear. I spent days camped outside their house, hoping to catch a

Lucian I stood there, my head in my hands, heart pounding in my ears. Then, like a crash of thunder, the realization hit me. I had to get to Sienna. I rushed out of the house, jumped in my car, and sped into the thick of traffic. I honked furiously, swerving around cars, shouting at red lights that refused to turn green. Please. Let me get to her. I reached her apartment building and threw the keys to the doorman without a word. I sprinted inside. The elevator was taking too long—too damn long—so I ran to the emergency stairs and took them two at a time. I reached her floor, breathless, and pounded on her door. At first, I knocked lightly. When there was no answer, I started banging with my fists, harder each time. Still nothing. The door behind me opened. I turned briefly to see Nico step out, his expression confused and groggy. I ignored him and turned back to the door. I had a key. I could use it. But something told me barging in would only make things worse. “What are yo

Lucian The last two weeks had been nothing short of chaos. Adrian had declared an all-out war, and I gave it back to him just as hard. He must have felt the sting of getting exactly what he deserved. He’d already hit several of my warehouses—blunt, brutal attacks with no hesitation. I retaliated in kind. Our animosity was no longer a secret. Everyone knew, and everyone had chosen sides. I started looking into Roy Salvatore, the man Sienna mentioned—Adrian’s newest associate and, as it turned out, Tony’s cousin. How that connection stayed hidden for so long was a mystery. The day after the war began, I cornered Tony and scared the truth out of him. He swore he didn’t know Adrian and I were enemies. Claimed he’d cut ties with him. Swore loyalty to me. But I didn’t buy it. I kept a close eye on him. Each time Adrian attacked something new, my chest filled with bitter satisfaction—proof he was hurting. But that satisfaction never lasted. Not when I thought of her. Sienna. I told he

Sienna We had just landed in New York—JFK Airport. It was bustling with people rushing to get home. No one gave anyone a second glance. “Ahh, it feels good to be home,” Ava said, stretching her arms. She had taken time off from the hospital to come with me. I had no idea how I’d ever thank her for always being by my side. We collected our luggage and made our way out. Ava made a quick phone call, and moments later, a black SUV pulled up in front of us. The driver stepped out and greeted her. “Hello, Miss Morozov.” Ava’s real name was Avana Morozov, but for work, she had changed it to Ava Harris. She never minded—it had always been her nickname anyway. She returned the greeting and climbed into the car. The driver loaded our bags into the trunk. I followed her inside. Settling into the seat, I messaged Adrian to let him know I’d landed. His response came immediately: ADRIAN: Great. Let me know when you reach the house too. I turned off my phone and looked out the window, takin

SiennaI was pulled out of my thoughts by Ava barging into my room, her hands full of my stuff. She had offered to get my essentials from my apartment, but in that moment, she looked upset.“What’s wrong?” I asked her as she set down the bags.“Nothing,” she replied immediately. I narrowed my eyes—I knew something was wrong.“Come tell me,” I insisted. She sighed and took a seat on the bed beside me.“I saw Nico,” she told me.“Oh,” was all I could say.“He looked beaten up,” she started. “He wouldn’t let me go unless I heard him out.” I let out a chuckle.“What does he need to say?” I said sarcastically.“He said he had no idea about what Lucian had planned,” she said, though her tone sounded unconvinced.“He was still the one who led him to me,” I said. Ava nodded.“That’s exactly what I told him, but he kept saying he didn’t know Lucian was doing this and didn’t understand why Lucian even wanted to take revenge on your brother,” she relayed. “He wanted to apologize, but I told him
