Chapter Fifteen

Brad had been in there too long. What was he doing? What were they discussing? Was Rocco ratting me out? Of course he was. I nibbled on my nails and paced the side walked as I waited. How did he even know I was here?

Brad walked through the front entrance and I raced to him. Ready to bombard him with questions.

“What did you talk about?” I asked.

“Nothing.”

“There’s no way it could be nothing.”

His features turned to ice like an entire lake during the winter.

“Wait, he didn’t give you the right version. Let me explain.” My face became hot and my voice swelled with emotion.
