Gaze Upon The Moon.

The night was silent, the only thing one could hear was the sounds of crickets singing, owls calling out to their fellow species, in addition to the faint footsteps of the soldiers that were put on night duty.

The night was cold and warm at the same time, cold enough to be soothing and cozy, yet warm enough to prevent those subjected to it from catching a cold. It was perfect, perfect enough for Elena to sit and watch the crescent moon as it reflected light from the sun.

It was perfect, full moon or not. Elena loved it, from her view it was a faint representation of the moon goddess herself, soft and gentle on the skin but bright enough to allow those under her to see. It was charismatic and proud, yet humble and elusive.

The moon Goddess had always been a wonder to her, not even because she was a deity but because she gave Elena a life setting that made her suffer so much.

She sighed.

Anyone would have lost faith in her by now, regardless of the aids and miracles
