I arrived just before the class started. I was slightly irritated that I had to see Bella first thing in the morning but decided to get over it. I'll just have to forget about her and try not to think about her for the rest of the day.
It's not that I hate her or anything, far from it.
It all started back in high school when I was going through my asshole phase. That was the time I met Bella for the first time.
The first thing I noticed about her was her fiery red hair. She has a cute round face with freckles sprinkled over her nose and big blue eyes. I thought she was really beautiful at first sight. I didn't pay too much attention to her because she wasn't really my type. She was shy and quiet. Most of the time, I just walked right past her in the hallways.
Then one day, everything changed.
I saw her at Max's 18th birthday party. She looked like a nervous wreck among all the high school kids. She looked down as soon as our eyes met. I didn't blame her. I had a bad reputation at the time.
"Look at that cute little freshman over there. I am thinking about taking her upstairs and have a little fun," Max had commented.
"That pretty redhead? She wouldn't touch you with a six-foot pole," I scoffed.
"Little bit of liquid courage in her, and she'll be wrapped around my finger," Max commented.
In other words, take advantage of a drunk girl. How typical.
I didn't see her for the next hour, then all of a sudden, I heard cheering and hollering outside on the patio. I went outside and almost choked on my beer as I saw Bella Davis dancing on top of the ping pong table wearing nothing but a bra and underwear.
Max saw me and grinned from ear to ear. "I AM IN LOVE!" he yelled and pointed at the girl.
"Dude...what the fuck?" I exclaimed.
"I only gave her two shots of tequila to loosen her up a little, but she decided she wanted to dance," Max shrugged.
"But why is she half-naked?" I asked.
"She said clothes restrict her movements and prevent her from reaching the maximum potential in dancing," Max said.
Fuck...this chick is crazy.
She was flailing her arms around and dancing like a madwoman while everyone else cheered on. Making a complete ass of herself. I should do something, I thought.
I reached over and grabbed her arm.
"Hey you, where are your friends? You need to get down from there. And put your clothes back on for fuck's sake," I ordered.
"NO!" she yelled and smacked me on the cheek.
Everyone gasped and looked at us.
Rage flickered in my brain. No one ever dared to mess with me before, let alone hit me. She must've been out of her mind.
"That's it, you are coming with me," I said and threw her over my shoulder, then walked away. No-one stopped me.
I took her inside a bedroom and dropped her on the bed. "STAY," I ordered. She looked at me angrily but didn't get up. I rummaged inside a closet and took a t-shirt out, then threw it at her.
"I don't know what the hell you did with your dress but put this on for now," I said gruffly. What the hell am I doing? I thought while watching her struggle. I should be down there partying. Instead, I was babysitting a random drunk chick.
"I don't wanna," she declared.
I was annoyed beyond belief. "What the fuck is wrong with you? Do you realize what kind of situation you are in? You are prancing around in your underwear in front of a bunch of teenage boys. What if they force themselves on you? What if I force myself on you? What would you do then?" I held her face firmly and forced her to look me in the eyes. Maybe I can scare her enough to stop acting like a lunatic.
She gazed into my eyes for a moment, then smiled. "I want you to take my virginity," she said casually like it was no big deal.
What the fuck...
"Shit, you are drenched. Let's get you out of this dress," I said."You just want me to get naked, so you can take advantage of me," Bella giggled."I'm just trying to look out for you. Get your mind out of the gutter," I chuckled and flicked her forehead. She yelped and rubbed her forehead.
Bella's POVI inhaled the sweet smell of his cologne as he held me against his body. I couldn't look him in the eyes and tell him I didn't love him and didn't want to be with him. It was impossible, and it would've been a lie.I almost yelled at him again but stopped as Jake and Jane walked in.
"Don't talk to her again," Bella ordered as we stopped in front of my car."Who? Sally?" I said."Sally or Bridget or whatever her name is. Just stay away from her," she said."Why, are you jealous?" I smirked.
I smirked as Bella kept stealing glances at me during the rehearsal dinner. I purposely sat apart from her, but on her opposite side.Things turned slightly sour once my dad and stepmom arrived. I could feel the air of hostility between Bella and him this time. Funny how I never noticed it before.I approached him after dinner. "Hey dad, there's something we need to discuss. About Bella," I said.
Bella's POV"UUGGHH!" I screamed in frustration."Um...okay...I won't pick Lilies as my wedding flowers if it's that much of a problem to you," Jane commented."No...it's not you. I am just...so frustrated! Ugh!" I exclaimed.
"Leave me alone!" Bella tried to avoid my question and get out of bed, but I pushed her back down. She is not going anywhere without giving me some answers."Not before you tell me what's going on? You almost killed me, for fuck's sake!" I exclaimed."I wasn't going to let you die," she said as she struggled underneath me.
