The Sander family’s house was by the riverfront.

It was a mansion with three floors. The place was quite old now.

When Estelle arrived, she realized that the place looked different.

She always loved the stars, hence her dad especially changed the front gate of the mansion into a star-shaped pattern. As she was the only daughter of the Sander family, her parents showered her with love and gave her everything she wanted.

The star-shaped gate was now gone, and it was replaced by a bunch of gleaming gold-plated rosebush instead. It looked both gaudy and tawdry as if the owner of the house was showing off his wealth. Judging by the looks of it, Estelle knew that it was the work of her uncle as his sense of aesthetic was just plain bad.

After ringing the doorbell, the maid opened the door and hurriedly welcomed her into the house. “Milady, you’re finally home!”

It was such a long while since she was home.

After the car accident six years ago, her uncle and his family moved into
