~ Mia ~

My whole mood changed when I noticed he was there. With a lot of strength, I shook his hand. My focus went back to Anisel, and asked if we could talk in private. With a nod, we went to the bedroom and locked the door. My brother, Lily, and the servant came in with us. "I knew it!! I knew it was going to be a boy!!" Lily shouted with excitement.

“Good because having all girls running around isn't the best. To have a nephew is awesome news.” Jabrel said. The more we discussed it, the more I realized how he would be born into madness. I'm in my third semester, and if a war happens, then he will be raised in disaster. I can't have my son be forced into this. Anisel glanced at me with concern. I explained my thoughts. He held my hand and told me not to think negatively. He will be protected at all times.

I needed to hear that. The others had confused expressions which switched the mood. I brushed it off and returned to talking about our bouncy baby boy. They got excited when I asked for names; Kai, Sam, and Sixen. All these different names that swirl in my head.

Anisel took his time with his suggestion. His eyes lit up like stars– Miel. He combined our cute names. Miel Alphonse Dean, I like it. After agreeing to the name, everyone excused themselves to complete their work, which left me alone with my loving husband.

He lay in the bed with his arm covering his face. I joined him as I cuddled up next to him. He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer. We haven't had time together; I miss our alone time. We need to enjoy this while we can. I buried my head into his side, which tickled him.

“Hey, you know I'm ticklish.” He chuckled as he moved to his side. “I miss this– we used to cuddle all the time, but we have duties to uphold. I miss my Mia time.”

“I know. As protectors of Satia, we will get busy. However, we can enjoy the little things when we can. We know what we sign up for. We can't complain about it now."

“Remember our honeymoon?? Those were the days.” He said as he sat up. Oh, I remember– we went to Florise after the wedding, and it was the best decision yet. We went to three different cities while we were there. We visited Orlando first to have fun in Disney World, then went to Miami for a week, and our last stop was Tampa. Anisel was freaking out about how much money we spent during the honeymoon, but it was worth it. Penthouse suites in every hotel, the royalty special.

We had our pool inside the hotel rooms. My husband never had this much fun in his life. He loved the treatment but tried not to go overboard. He is adorable. We used to do activities before we got married. Now it's business everywhere we go Anisel has been going on trips to keep profits up. I try to keep the kingdom running and in peace. The only time we see each other is in the bedroom or at meals.

I cuddled close to Anisel as he lay back down. “I wish we could just go back in time and change the past.” He said.

“Or we can change the future. The past is the past, and we can do nothing about it. Just the drama needs to stop.”

“You are the one who starts it. Remember you stole Jabrel’s sweater and blamed it on Lily. Then didn’t talk to her for a week.” He smiled. I did no such thing, I needed a sweater to cover my stomach that day, and my clothes were being altered. But that is not what I meant about drama.

There was a knock at the door– Hamon peeked in to see if we were decent. “My lady, Matthew has requested your time in the throne room. Would you like to accept?” He asked.

“Sure. I need to talk to him anyways. If he would be around here, then we could be cultural. I will be there in a minute.” I stepped out of the bed and into the bathroom. After freshening up, I met up with Matthew. When we entered, Matthew was sitting in my chair like he was royalty. My blood boiled with hatred for this man as memories began to appear in my mind.

“I see you made yourself at home. You are welcome to stay as long as you want, Matt.” I said while putting on a smiling face.

“I miss this palace and the drama that comes with it. My land doesn't have anything. Anyways, I need to talk to you about what we discussed during the meeting.”

“My husband and I will speak to you together about that. You are wasting your breath at the moment.” I told him. He got up from the throne and walked over to me. Hamon became hesitant and felt uneasy. I could tell that he was shaking too. So, I held his hand.

Matthew stared at me and then smiled. He wasn't going to hurt anyone, and how important is this? I tapped Hamon to follow me to my throne. I rubbed my hands through my hair and told him to start speaking. He stood in front of the steps. He needed to own land to build a base for the tools. But the only available land is near the palace. If he is closer to the people, communicating would be easier. When he said that, I became distant.

It has its perks being next to the palace; nevertheless, it is different when it's the person who betrayed Satia. Things would get awkward around the area. My guards will be more observant of his actions because they hate him. Matthew pulled out a map of the land.

“You know Satia is growing every day and not just its main kingdom. These spots are too far away. I had to cross town after town to get to your position, my lady. That would waste time, the time we need. The spot right here is only a few steps away. It's also close to your factories as well. Resources I need to keep things going. You can't deny the fact that this works." He stated.

"If I say yes, you will be surrounded by guards 24/7, and my eyes will watch you too. But..." I got up from my throne and walked right to him. "If you try something or show me disloyalty or even make one false move that might hurt my kingdom, then you don't have to worry about living anymore. Because I will make sure your life ends right then and there— permanently."

"Yes, your majesty." He bowed.
