Chapter 22

The Alpha, King Augustra and his Luna had left their chambers and went looking for Oscar, Alpha Augustra's second in command.

Alpha Augustra and Amelia, his Luna, were in a state of panic. Oscar, Augustra's second-in-command, was said to be with the real red orb and that sent chills down the alpha's spine. As he and his Luna, Amelia walked through the hallways searching for Oscar, he was lost in thoughts. He wondered if Oscar had always had the red orb. When had he gotten it? And if he indeed had it, why hadn't he brought it to him immediately?

The alpha wondered about why his beta wolf had to have kept such a thing from him.

Amelia, who was talking about the red orb along the way, had noticed her husband was no longer responding as he was. She turned to look his way, "Augustra, is everything alright?"

The Alpha King did not notice her question until she shook him back to reality. When he seemed to be brought back from his wondering, he asked her, "what was it you asked me again?"
