Chapter 52

Amelia was shaken out of her dream by Oscar, her mate. She was in a state of shock, tears streaming down her face. She felt her heart break just thinking about the dream she had. In her dream, her mate, King Augustra, the alpha king, had sacrificed her for himself.

Oscar tried to comfort her, telling her that it was his fear. He tried to explain that the dream wasn't real, that it was just a manifestation of his worst fears. But Amelia couldn't shake the feeling that something was about to happen.

Amelia looked at Oscar, her eyes wide in fear. She wanted to ask him what was going to happen but the words wouldn't come out of her mouth. Oscar could tell that she was scared and he wrapped his arms around her, trying to comfort her.

"It's okay, Amelia," he said softly. "It was just a dream. It's not real."

Amelia let out a sigh of relief and snuggled into his embrace. She found comfort in his arms and felt safe. She looked up into his eyes, searching for answers.

"What's going to happen?"
