CHAPTER 25

Iryna sat in front of a large table in her office upstairs. She had a pen in her mouth, as she studied files of Walters' businesses.

Her personal guard Lucien, got off the phone and tucked it safely in his pockets. He turned to Iryna and gave a small bow.

"Michael has been released by the police on bail just as you had authorized," he said.

Iryna looked up at him. It took a few seconds for her to realize who Lucien was referring to. "Oh, thank you," she sighed after she recalled.

"I had even forgotten about him." Michael could rot in that small cell for all she cared. He deserved that and more.

She took the cup of coffee that was on the table and sipped its content with a satisfactory smile on her face.

Lucien who had been observing her for a while, decided to let out his worries.

"Forgive me for intruding, but it is part of my job to know if someone causes you trouble," he began and then paused to see her reaction.
