Chapter 12

Devon stared up at the ceiling in his room, he had been looking at it for more than two hours now. His Nurse abandoned him, that was the only logical conclusion since she has been missing for almost two hours now. She had come back into his room bearing food, made sure he ate every bit of it while watching him with the most beautiful sets of eyes he has ever seen, he could get lost in them, they were prettier than he has ever seen.

She let him eat and when he had finished the food she had given him medicine, made sure he was lying properly, and disappeared with the parting words

"Make sure to get a rest and by rest I mean sleep."

She had said the words so firmly.

He had tried to fall asleep but sleep wasn't one of his best friends because he has not closed his eyes for one bit since she left.
