When Serafine entered the house, she could not but notice how quiet everywhere was. If she had not gone out of this house earlier in the morning, she would think no one lived there. As she was about to go back to her room, she spotted a maid holding an empty plate walking toward the kitchen and she quickly ran toward her
“Wait, why is this place so quiet, and where is the alpha?” Serafine said while staring at the young maid who felt so scared for a reason she was unaware of. At least, she is the first maid that was not looking at her with contempt or as if they want to skin her alive.
“All the work that needs to be done in the morning has been done so everyone is resting now. Only a few maids are on duty, also, the alpha has gone for a conference trip and won’t be back until after a few weeks. Pardon me Miss Serafine but I have to go now” The maid spoke so fast as she looked as if she could not stand being in her presence any longer, not out of hatred, but out of fear.
‘Business trip? How come I was not informed?’ Serafine thought to herself as she finally realized that there was no need for her to be informed about it as her being the supposed wife of the alpha of this pack was not done willingly but out of desperation. Alpha Alcide does not even see her as anything special and he probably thinks she is worthless just as the others have always seen her.
Serafine went to her room and just as she entered her room, she realized something; she was not meant to assume things and she should just focus on her main goal which was to earn the Alpha’s affection so that she could rescue her pet and leave her pack for good, and maybe find shelter somewhere else. But how was she to earn his affection when she barely saw him every day?
Serafine felt bored and luckily, she saw a book on her bedside table. It was old and dusty so she cleaned it and she finally saw the title
“The art of seduction” Serafine read the title out loud.
She sat down on her bed, opened the book, and the first image she saw made her close it back rapidly.
“What the” She said while feeling shocked by what she just saw
Serafine felt like her virgin eyes had just been corrupted. On the first page, was a clear picture of a male and female private part. She was about to throw the book away when she had a second thought.
Serafine opened the book again, using her hand to cover the image as she read what was on the next page out loud
“Just like the way it goes, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, I would say the way to a man’s soul is his body”
‘Wow, this makes a lot of sense’ Serafine said within her as she read further. So far, she was enjoying what she was reading and she was relieved that there was no naughty part apart from the first page as she had not yet encountered one.
Serafine read the book for a few hours until she slept off

And just like Alcide, Serafine also had a nightmare
8-year-old Serafine was kneeling on the floor, her knees bruised from kneeling for too long, tears flooding from her eyes as she begged the older lady standing in front of her
“Please, I did not hurt my sister, I would never do that, she bruised herself intentionally” Young Serafine added while trying to wipe the tears off her face but before her hands could reach her face, a thick wood landed on her palm. Serafine screamed as she felt the pain within her bones. She bent her body, hugging her hands trying to suppress the pain but before she could do that, another stroke landed on her leg.
And so, the strokes came one by one until her body was bruised as blood seeped out from the wound on her body.
“Next time, you would not go near my precious daughter not to even think of hurting her. You are a devil, so you want to kill my daughter just as you did to your mother and twin brother right?” The older woman standing beside her said as she grabbed her hair, gripping it tightly.
Young Serafine could not even say anything as her body felt numb, she could barely speak nor try to remove her hair from the woman’s grasp as she felt pain all over her body
“As punishment for what you did, your pet dog would be fed to my wolves,” The lady said while leaving the room and all Serafine could do was shut her eyes as she felt the darkness finally consuming her.

Serafine finally woke up with a gasp.
‘The nightmares have started again’ she thought within herself as she held her chest, trying to suppress the pain she was feeling. The nightmares were a regular occurrence for her but they suddenly stopped when she clocked 15. Sometimes, she would wonder if the reason why she could not sense the presence of her wolf was because the pain was too much for it to bear and not it just did not want to come out as it was scared.
Serafine stood up to drink water as she felt her throat was dry and just as her hands touched the Jug on the bedside table, she heard a sound coming from her window as if someone was trying to break in.
Hiii, this is not like any love story you've read about. Serafine and Alcide would go through a lot before they finally get the peace they deserve but as they say, love conquers all😁 #seracide 🤭 Read, like, comment, send your reviews and enjoyyy🤭
The next morning, as soon as Jenna woke up, she had her bath, dressed up and she paid extra attention to doing her makeup. ‘I hate makeup so much, but why am I doing it now’ she wondered to herself but quickly finished up and left the room. Just as she went down the stairs to have her breakfast, she saw Alcide already seated, waiting for his breakfast to be served. “Good morning Alpha” Serafine said, greeting Alcide formally. Alcide frowned a little but quickly replied “Morning wife” Serafine looked stunned at what he called her and she stared at him for a while. “Please have your seat, let’s have breakfast together,” Alcide said when he noticed that she was still standing, staring at him in shock. Serafine sat down and just then, some servants served their breakfast and they ate silently. After a while, Alcide sipped his tea a little bit, dropped the cup down, and turned to face Serafine. “I have a conference coming up with numerous Alpha’s from different packs and this yea
Ever since Lucian ditched her, running away when she was about to escape, Serafine had not seen him and she felt angry that he left just like that, without even trying to help her or do something. She just stared at him, eyes wide, mouth opened while Lucian smiled at her. He held her hands and dragged her to a quiet place, where few people were to converse with her. “What are you doing here Lucian?” Serafine finally composed herself as she glared at Lucian, seeking answers. Lucian scratched his head a little and said, “I know you are angry with me Serafine and honestly, your anger is justified but at least let me explain myself” Lucian said, staring at Serafine like he truly felt sorry. Little did Serafine know that it is all just a façade, a façade to get her to trust him once more. Serafine laughed. Her laughter filling the place they were. She laughed for sometime and then finally looked at Lucian with serious eyes. “Explain? What do you want to say, Lucian? If it were to be a
After Alcide left the room, Serafine stepped out to have dinner. Just as she got to the dining hall, she sat down and signaled the maids standing beside the door to bring her dinner. Just as she was waiting for her food, Jenna stepped into the dining room and walked towards Serafine. Serafine looked up just to see Jenna sitting beside her. “Oh, my co-wife, what are we having for dinner?” Jenna asked with a fake smile. ‘Co-wife?, you are not even married to Alcide yet and you call him your husband’ Serafine scorned within her, ignoring Jenna’s existence. Seeing that Serafine was giving her no response, Jenna frowned and just then, the maid brought them some water to drink. Just as the maid was about to place the water on the table, Jenna stepped on the maid intentionally causing the water to splash on Serafine. Serafine gasped as the cold liquid splashed all over her. “I’m so sorry Miss, it was an accident” the maid said wiping the water off Serafine. “It’s alright. It’s just w
When Alcide walked into the house, he attended some urgent meetings but his attention was divided during that time. He kept on thinking about Serafine and no matter how hard he tried, he could not get her off his mind. “Alpha, Alpha?” Alcide’s PA called a couple of times as Alcide sat down in his office, lost in thought with a lot of papers scattered on his table. “Yes, you were saying something?” Alcide asked as he finally looked at his PA. He did not know what was wrong with him, he has been feeling somehow ever since he saw how hurt Serafine was when he commanded his guard to open the gates. Now, he was regretting ever giving his consent to that. ‘How is she feeling now?’ Alcide asked himself as he pondered the situation. “Alpha, we need to send these documents out this evening. We need your signatures on them” His PA said again when he saw that he was not making a move to continue signing those papers “Oh, give me 45 minutes, I would be done with it as soon as possible” Alcid
Alcide woke up to series of meetings and after almost 5 hours of continuous meetings, he finally had the chance to rest a little. He decided to have afternoon tea with his wife and after confirming that she was in the garden, he left for the garden. “What a beautiful afternoon it is” Alcide said when he got to the garden and this caught Sera’s attention as she turned to see the Alpha walking towards her. “Alpha” Serafine said as she stood up and bowed slightly to him “Oh, stop all the formalities, at least when we are alone.” Alcide replied as he smiled a little. He felt uncomfortable with Serafine calling him by his title. He wanted her to call him by his name, he wanted to hear how his name sounded on her soft pink lips, lips that lingered in his mind these past few days. “What a pleasant surprise it is Alpha for you to join me for my afternoon tea. I was amazed when I was informed of your presence” Serafine said as she gestured for him to sit while she sat down herself. “Oh, I
“Sera? Serafine?” Aunt Rosa called a couple of times but she got no reply. She tapped her lap three times trying to gather her attention and it was only after that Serafine turned towards her “Hm, you were saying something Aunt Rosa” Serafine said, looking abashed. She was still trying to understand the situation and how she was feeling. Ever since that encounter with Alcide in the kitchen yesterday, she had been feeling nervous and surprisingly, happy. She could not sleep and all she could do was roll back and forth on her bed all through the night. “You’ve not been paying attention and that concerns me Serafine. Is something wrong?” Aunt Rosa said concernedly. She shifted on her seat, moving closer to Serafine after which she placed her arms on her neck, trying to check if she was not feeling too well. “Oh, everything is well Aunt Rosa, and I’m feeling just fine,” Serafine said as she gave a small smile to Aunt Rosa. “Then, why have you been looking disorganized all through our
