Alarick groaned as he rubbed his temples, trying to alleviate the headache that had plagued him since he woke up. The events of the previous night flashed in his mind, and he winced at the memory of losing control and transforming into his beast form.

He looked around the room, noticing that Leanda was nowhere in sight. He wondered if she had left without saying goodbye, and a pang of disappointment hit him. He had hoped to thank her properly for her help in calming him down.

Even if that would hurt his ego, he still wanted to thank her because it takes a lot to be able to calm him down and help him change back to his human form.
