The Beast

Ian paced back and forth in his bedroom, his ragged breaths echoing through the empty space. He was fuming with anger and humiliation, his heart pounding with fury. All he could think about was how Alarick, the alpha king, had humiliated him in front of everyone at the execution ground. He had been seconds away from killing those humans, but then Alarick had come and saved them.

He scoffed, feeling the humiliation all over again. As a beta, he was supposed to be the one protecting their territory, he was supposed to he in control whenever it gets to eliminating the sinners, but he had failed miserably. And what made it worse was the fact that Alarick had saved the one he was going to kill himself.
