Savannah’s POV

Time seemed to blur as we proceeded to the hospital. All I could hear was the voices of people shouting, the rolling wheels, and the sharp beeping of monitors.

“Male, twenty-six, severe hyperthermia, unresponsive to verbal commands!” the lead paramedic barked as they rolled the gurney out of the vehicle.

I scramble

Julian’s POVSeeing Savannah all rattled up about our safety was one thing I didn’t think I would find so cute. I had spent years keeping people at arm’s length. She had apparently not received that particular memo. First, she took care of me and showed me care that was even more than what my parents showed me while I was growing up, to this day.Things were going smoothly, we were getting to know each other better and honestly, it was refreshing to experience. Then there was the jealousy about Fiona, the new neighbor, and the worry about some animal footprints which I had told her not to worry about for now, while quietly filing it away in the back of my mind. After Fiona left, we finished breakfast. I had to practically drag Savannah into a nap once she was done with laundry. When she woke up by evening, I made sure to make her favorit

Savannah’s POVI was totally speechless as I turned and saw her taking a look around the whole place, making me dumbfounded.“Wow, Savannah, this house is absolutely breathtaking,” Fiona remarked in an excited tone as her eyes kept roaming around. “Damn, this place is even more stunning than I thought!”Before I could pull myself out of my stunned silence to demand what she thought she was doing, I heard footsteps and soon after, Julian stepped into the living room.He had adjusted his posture as his eyes immediately settled on Fiona. He looked a bit surprised as well.“Julian,” I cleared my throat, quickly walking over to put an end to the awkward distance. “This is Fiona, our neighbor from the east

  • Taming the Arrogant Billionaire   Chapter 51 - Not Rude Exactly

Savannah’s POVThe days at the farmhouse rolled by, and I was genuinely glad Julian was getting better. I tried not to think about Thomas, and mostly succeeded. I also made sure he wasn’t doing anything strenuous so he would recover properly. In all, things were going smoothly. One morning, even though I had tried to reject Julian’s offer again, he made us a breakfast so good I almost hated him for it. It was kind of embarrassing that he was a better cook and so, we had agreed that once he was back on his feet, he would teach me some of his cooking skills. I also liked baking so we had a lot of things to explore together, once he was fully healed.“Hand me the syrup, country girl,” Julian murmured in a deep tone that sent warmth into my chest.

  • Taming the Arrogant Billionaire   Chapter 50 - They Didn’t Match

Savannah’s POVI seemed to be frozen in time as my thoughts were all over the place. Firstly, she knew all about my marriage as if I had told her everything myself, and now, this?Maybe it was because the marriage was fake or due to the fact that I was thinking too much but I still felt the question was a little bit too much to ask since we weren’t even friends yet.Fiona must have felt the sudden and freezing shift in the air, because she quickly let out a soft, flustered breath and raised her hands in surrender.“Oh, Savannah, I am so incredibly sorry,” she said hurriedly with her voice carrying a nervous tone. “Look at me, running my mouth again. I didn’t mean to be so prying or forward, I deeply apologize. Thomas always tells me I have a terrible habit

  • Taming the Arrogant Billionaire   Chapter 49 - Not a Future

Savannah’s POV“So tell me what you’ve been up to?” Fiona asked. Her smile was the same as yesterday. Perfectly easy. Perfectly warm.“We have been very busy, and a lot happened,” I said, trying to be as vague as I could. “I caught a cold too, so we’ve been keeping a low profile.”Fiona gave me a sympathetic look. “Oh, that sounds absolutely draining. No wonder you are jumping at shadows, Savannah. You see, you really are running on empty because last winter, before you guys even moved to the line, I woke up in the middle of the night terrified because I heard scratching right outside my own kitchen window. I was convinced it was a prowler and I was so terrified but when morning came, it was just an animal.”

  • Taming the Arrogant Billionaire   Chapter 48 - I Wasn't Sure I Did

Savannah’s POVI got up from where I was kneeling and began to walk towards the bushes, with my mind still racing. Our parents weren’t here to keep us safe or do things for us. We weren’t even given maids or workers, which meant we had to look after ourselves. Julian was too weak to help, so it was just me.“I can handle this,” I whispered fiercely to myself while trying to slow my racing heart. “I am a Willy. I don’t run from my own land.”Mustering every ounce of courage I possessed, I forced myself to walk into the bushes, while following the trail of footprints. On the ranch, Dad always said the land tells you what happened. You just have to be willing to look.As I walked deeper, I realized the

Savannah’s POV“Move!” I yelled, having little time to react as I quickly dived out of their way. I had barely taken a breath of relief when I turned to see Julian, who was still frozen on the spot and he stood directly in their path.He was completely still with a frightened expression on his face

  • Taming the Arrogant Billionaire   Chapter 4 - The Move

Savannah's povI had always imagined my wedding to be like a fairytale wedding, filled with love and happiness. The wedding I had was the complete opposite. There were no joyful tears, no happy toasts, and certainly no romance. All through the brief wedding, I tried not to snap at a super cold Julia

  • Taming the Arrogant Billionaire   Chapter 3 - The Ballroom

Savannah's povI smoothed down the skirt of my black dress for the hundredth time while keeping my posture perfectly rigid. I felt entirely out of my element in a gown and I would choose my pants and t-shirt over this any day, but for the sake of my parents, I had to attend this gala.We were in the

  • Taming the Arrogant Billionaire   Chapter 2 - Why me?

Julian’s POVI adjusted my collar and stepped into the commercial real estate office, heading straight for the broker's desk. I didn't care about the extra fees or the location costs because I really needed the space. I was a Montgomery by blood, but I wanted to make a name for myself. My startup wa
