"What are you doing here?" Sharon asked, desperately trying to hold back her gasp of shock at the wolf's audacity.

"I came to see Amari."

Amari instantly stilled in her hospital bed at the sight of the man who tortured her for fun. Her memory still evaded her, but if she had to guess, Sam attacked her. No one else would've had a reason to. Another thought hit Amari. Was it possible that Theresa set her up so that Sam could attack her? She would keep her eyes peeled for Theresa because, at this point, she couldn't trust her either.

"You need to leave," Sharon ordered. "Let's step outside and talk," Sharon demanded. Sam slowly backed out of the hospital room, but not before winking and smirking at Amari. Amari didn't know what came over her, but she showed him the middle finger with her unbandaged hand, knowing he couldn't do anything to her. Sam narrowed his eyes at her in contempt. If only he had a few more seconds alone with her, Amari would be no more.

"You wanted to speak?"

  • The Accused Mate   Sadist and Masochist

Amari absentmindedly chewed on her bacon as she tried to recall her attack. She woke up with a headache, and the more she tried to remember, the more her head would hurt. She finally gave up after several minutes. She was in enough pain as it was; she didn't need to add to her misery. Amari narrowed her eyes at Sharon, who stood in the corner on the phone with Alexander, informing him of her condition. She wished Sharon would hang up the phone. Alexander didn't care about her, Amari reasoned with herself. He was only fake caring for some reason. Whatever the reason was, she didn't care to know. She thought that maybe they could heal the broken bond between the two of them, but that dream was shattered when he complained about her being a burden and a pain in the ass."Alpha Alexander is on his way here to check you out. As the doctor said, you need to rest for the next couple of days. He's putting you on bed rest, and you'll be receiving IV treatments to eliminate the silver from you

  • The Accused Mate   Heat

Alexander returned home and made a beeline to the kitchen. Titus reminded him to eat to keep his strength up. "Leave!" Alexander demanded the kitchen staff once he entered the kitchen, causing them to drop everything and scurry out of the gourmet kitchen. Alexander flung open the fridge and scoured the selection. His eyes landed on a plate with several steaks that hadn't been prepared for dinner yet. Alexander pulled the pan out of the fridge and dropped it on the marble kitchen island. The scent of blood assaulted his nose, tempting Titus to come forward. Alexander was pushed back to the recesses of his mind as Titus gained full control of him in his human form. Titus tore off the jacket Alexander wore, along with the dress shirt. Titus hated clothing. It was always aggravating and in the way. Not to mention hot. Titus grabbed a slab of meat and began to devour it in the middle of the kitchen. The steaks were bloodied and untouched by seasoning, much to Titus's delight. An unsu

  • The Accused Mate   The Suspect

A tear slid down Amari's face as she replayed in her mind what Alexander had said about her. She was nothing but a burden and a pain in the ass. Maybe she would move on after thirty days have passed. The last thing she wanted to be was a burden."Amari?" Sharon asked from above her. "Are you awake?"Amari opened her eyes and winced at the unnatural bright fluorescent lights above her. Sharon quickly noticed and rushed to lower the lights."Thank you," Amari hoarsely whispered. Her hand flew up to her throat and she gently massaged it. "Amari, who did this to you?" Sharon pleaded. "I-I-I don't know," Amari stammered. "Are you sure? You're not covering up for anyone, are you? We need to know. You don't have to be afraid, Amari. We will protect you, but we can't do that if you're hiding the truth from us.""No. I don't know. I'm not sure what happened after breakfast. What happened to me, Sharon?"Sharon let out an exasperated sigh. When it rains, it pours, she thought to herself.

  • The Accused Mate   A Burden

Alexander stood over Amari's bed, hardly ever leaving her side. Titus had recognized her as their mate, but Alexander was still struggling over the notion that if Amari truly was their mate that he had subjected her to so much pain. He was to blame for all of it. For verbally abusing her, and subjecting her to emotional pain and physical torture. She was tortured under his orders!Alexander wondered if he should acknowledge the mate bond he felt with Amari, or should he leave things as it was? She already expressed that she didn't want him in that manner after he rejected her. Would she be open to a civil friendship? Alexander thought to himself as he hovered over Amari's bed. Titus was growling at him to suck it up and blamed Alexander for not listening to him in the first place when he explicitly told him not to mark Camilla. But Alexander was as stubborn as he was hardheaded, which would probably be his ultimate downfall.Alexander wasn't head over heels for Amari like he was

  • The Accused Mate   Lost Footage

"Oh, my...Amari! What happened to you?!" Sharon shouted once she finally opened the door. Amari lay unconscious in a pool of her blood."Holy shit! What happened?" Sam asked once he double backed to the security room. Before he left, he erased all the footage from the computers of the entire castle for the entire day. No one would know he was the one who attacked Amari unless she woke and snitched on him. For Sam's sake, he hoped she never woke. Sam had even changed clothes and taken care of his wound in his absence. "Go get, Alpha Alexander," Sharon instructed before she knelt in front of Amari. She gently shook her, but Amari didn't respond. She felt for a pulse and let out a relieved sigh once she found one. It fainted, but it was still there. "Hurry!" Sharon snarled once she realized Sam was still standing there. "Right away," he said, making his exit from the security room. Sam heard the faint beating of Amari's heart and figured the slower he took to get to Alpha Alexand
