Chapter 60

It took longer than expected but they finally reached the palace. The doorman pulled open the carriage door and Styx alighted first.

He stood beside the carriage, stretching out his right hand towards Ama. Ama placed her hand on his, bowed her head a little and alighted from the carriage.

Not releasing her hand, Styx tightened his grip on her hand. This little gesture made Ama smile and she felt a kind of...relief.

Styx smiled at her, holding her hand as they walked inside the castle. Ama's new home, a place she would be staying with Styx for as long as she lived.

"Welcome back, King Styx and Queen Ama," the maids greeted, with a deep bow.

"Queen?" Ama asked, confused. Since when did she become the queen or could it be that they were mistaken.

Styx chose not to reply her and smiled instead. He tightened his grip on her. They walked through series of passages and they finally reached what looked like a church.
