Claire POV ~

It’s been twenty minutes since the school closed and that was no sign of dad anywhere. That’s a first because he or mom actually comes at exactly two o clock to come pick me up. I decided to give him a call.

“Hello dad. Where are you? Or have you forgotten that you are supposed to pick me up? School has been closed since twenty minutes ago”. I murmured into the phone as soon as he picked it up.

“O sweetheart! Am so sorry, an emergency meeting came up and it slipped my mind. Am so sorry. Let me call the driver to come and pick you up.”. Dad kept on apologizing for not being able to come.

“Dad, it's fine. I will just get a ride with one of my friends. No worries”. I replied to him.

“Okay sweetheart, see you when I get home. I love you”. Dad said and cut off the phone. I guess he must be very busy.
