Claire POV ~

After school closed, I bid farewell to Alissa and the rest of her cousins. I went out and was quite surprised that mum is not here already. She is so eager for the outing that I thought she would be here for school. Maybe I forgot. That will be technically my mom for you. I decided to give her a call in order to find out what is wrong.

“Hello baby girl, I am at the junction to your school already.” Mom said as soon as she picked the phone call.

“Okay mom. I am waiting for you!.” I got off the call and decided to wait for her outside the school gate.

As I made my outside, I saw Ashley and her group of friends standing where they usually park their cars. They were gisting and laughing among themselves. I came and passed them without looking at them.

“Such a spoiled mama’s girl. I can’t believe her parents still come to pick her up from school as if she is a preschool student.” I heard one of them comment as I passed them. I did as if I didn’t hear them and kept on walking.
