Chapter Seventy-Four

Layla POV

I watch Nathan as he fidgets in the chair; there is no denying that he is one of the most incredible-looking men I have ever laid eyes on, but I don't feel the overwhelming pull of the mate bond anymore because of his actions, not mine. I turn to Nathan as he says,

“I am sorry, Layla. I don't know what else to say.”

“There is nothing you can say, Nathan.”

“I still want you as my Luna; we can make this work.”

I frown,

“I am an Alpha, Nathan; you want me to step down and hand my pack to you?”

He crosses his arms over his chest as he says,

“Not Zach; he won't be coming with us.”

I raise my eyebrows at him and ask,

“Where will Zach be going?”

He stares at me in bewilderment,

“I won't have Zach on my territory, Layla.”

I narrow my eyes at him,

“Don't you mean our territory, Nathan?”

“You know what I mean, Layla.”

“You want to banish Zach?”

He nods, “Yes.”

I needed to hear him say it, then I asked,

Oh and if Declan says that Layla was the one who killed his mate then Layla has the video to show that they found her like that and the prowling wolf in the treelines.

Firstly, I love Zach! He’s sweet. As for Nathan, SO disappointed in him. He’s an as$hat. He even messes up his apology and possible second chance. I sure hope the strong alpha is Layla’s second chance mate. Lately, I’m still hoping there’s a chance that Latla can be healed and have at least a baby
