His hand savagely clamped around the elder’s throat, lifting him from the ground with terrifying strength. The old man choked and clawed at Draco’s arm as his cane fell uselessly to the ground, but the Alpha blood’s grip was unshakeable.

“So you want to defy me?” Draco asked coldly, breathing into the elder’s defiant face. “Even in your pitiful state, you are still thinking about standing against me?”

The elder struggled to speak, and his voice barely rose above a weak whisper. “You will… never be our Alpha…”

Draco’s lips twisted into a slow and cynical smile. “Then you will never speak again.”

With a cold and merciless snap, he twisted the elder’s neck like an ordinary chicken, and the man went limp instantly. Draco dropped the lifeless body carelessly, letting it slump across the scattered table in front of the horrified council.

Silence reigned for a long time, and Draco looked at the rest of them with bloodlust greedily filling his countenance. “That,” h

  • The Alpha's Despised Omega   Another temptation

The rain came without warning: angry, relentless, and loud enough to swallow their footsteps whole. It was supposed to be a simple hunt. A few rabbits, maybe a deer if luck was with them, but the forest had made other plans. Thunder rolled overhead as the skies split open, sending heavy sheets of cold water pouring through the canopy and soaking them within seconds.“Leo!” Elena shouted over the storm, with her hair already plastered to her face. “We need to find cover!”He was a few feet ahead, with his shoulders completely tense as he searched through the downpour. “This way!”They stumbled through the mud and roots until a dark opening appeared ahead of them, a narrow cave entrance that was half hidden by ivy and moss. Leo rushed inside first to make sure it was safe, then reached a hand back to pull her in. His fingers were warm despite the cold, and his grip was firm.“Stay here,” Leo said when they were finally safe from the cold downpour, shaking his hair

  • The Alpha's Despised Omega   The Crowned and the Scorned

A few days later the full moon came, and with it was Draco and Nyla's ascension as the Alpha and Luna of Nightshade. Draco now sat proudly and arrogantly on his throne, with Nyla beside him, her own throne slightly smaller, but no less royal. She looked beautiful and deadly, with her neck adorned with chains of gold that looked like trophies.Below them, the rest of the pack feasted on the lavish spread that had been placed before them… platters of roasted venison, spiced pork, salads, and glasses filled to the brim with bubbling champagne. Musicians played in the corner, Nightshade wolves who had been trained in the old ways of pack music. Their music was filled with wild rhythm, half tribal, half royal, perfectly capturing the twisted splendor of the night.Draco raised his glass. “To the new Nightshade!” he bellowed. “To strength, to blood, and to loyalty!”A thunder of howls answered him, not like they had any other choice if they wanted to keep their lives.Lucia however sat stil

  • The Alpha's Despised Omega   The Truth About Vortex

It took Damon a while to finally get Mara under control, and it was no easy feat. Even when she had seemed to calm down a little, her eyes were still shooting all over the room, then hovering at the door as if she was expecting another attack to burst through.“Calm down, okay? You're safe now,” Damon said soothingly. But Mara was in no way calm, and her fists still trembled in her lap. “Safe? You don’t know what you did, saving me. You don’t know what they’ll do now…”“I know they’re dead.” Damon said in a hard tone. “That’s what matters.”Mara stared at him, horrified by what he had just said.  Her lips quivered before words even came out. “You… you killed them?”“I did. I asked them who they were and they stayed silent, so I had no choice but to kill them.”She looked surprised at the casual way he was saying it, and she tried to offer her thanks. “Thank…”“I didn’t do it for thanks,” Damon cut her off quickly a

  • The Alpha's Despised Omega   Ripples in the River

Elena found herself standing barefoot on the smooth pebbles at the water’s edge, with the hem of her dress tied just above her knees, and her long hair loosely blowing with the breeze. For the first time in days, she felt… truly free.Leo stood a few feet ahead of her, with one of his boots off, and the other dangling from his hand as he tested the rocks for solid footing. His hair was still damp and plastered around his face after he had dipped his face into the stream earlier, and the grin he wore seemed as much a part of him as the strength in his eyes.“Now,” he said, gesturing with the fishing spear he held, “pay attention, Elena. The river doesn’t reward impatience. You have to be very still, watching the current carefully as it reveals its secrets.”Elena folded her arms and gave him a doubtful smile. “Secrets? Leo, it’s a fish. It's not like some mystical guardian of wisdom.”He chuckled. “Says the girl who had been standing here for over half an hou

  • The Alpha's Despised Omega   Dawn of a New Leader

Just like Draco had done earlier, Nyla smugly licked Marlow's blood from her fingertips, taking her time as if she wanted to fully savor the flavor. Her eyes were filled with a cruel and feverish delight, and then she turned to face Hector, staring straight into his eyes.“Do you see it now?” she purred delightfully. “This is the new Nightshade. A brand new era where the weak will fall and only those who are strong enough will rise.” She flashed him a triumphant smile. “And like I've always said, Hector… you were never fit to lead.”Hector staggered on his feet, breathing heavily as it took almost all his remaining strength to stop him from falling back to the ground. Despite the weakness, the fire of defiance still burned in his eyes. “You’ll… pay for this,” he said slowly, coughing and trembling even more from the effort. There was a cold feeling of certainty in his words…or promise if they could be called that. “Damon will surely return. And when he does, you’ll
