Marcus POV A wide river marks the boundary between the Grey Ridge pack and Reynold’s territory. It’s slow and meandering, the dark water reflecting silvery grey in the moonlight on this clear, bright night. Leila POV“Marcus, I… I… how?” I stutter as words completely fail me. When I heard the knock at the door, I thought it was the alpha’s sister, Maya, stopping by for a chat. The last person I expected to see on my doorstep was Marcus. How did he find me? How did he get on to pack territory? Leila POV“You don’t have any shoes on,” I comment absentmindedly, but what really catches my attention is the thick bulge in the front of his black combats. Marcus POVThe smell of fresh coffee rouses me from my deep sleep. It’s clear that I’ve slept far longer than I planned when I see the strong midday sunlight streaming in through the windows.
