Leila POVA yawn escapes me before I even know it’s coming and Marcus tucks me into his side, letting me lean some of my weight on him. Between worrying about what would happen today and this cub that is really starting to make its presence known, I am beyond exhausted. Marcus POVLeaning back against the bar, I wait for my whiskey. Normally I’m a beer drinker, especially if I'm out in the town that I'm in charge of, but tonight I’m feeling on edge. Leila POV“What the hell was that?” Toby whispers incredulously, rubbing his sore head and staring blankly out the windscreen at where the giant bear had been standing only seconds ago. Marcus POVIf Leila hadn’t stopped me, there is no doubt in my mind that I would have torn Toby limb from limb, and my bear would have relished every bloody, horrifying second of it. The red mist had descended and he wanted pain, to hear Toby beg for his life and then end it anyway. I had just about been able to contain my rage when he had come after Hayley and her family, and nearly killed me in the process. The black trousers are showing off his firm ass to perfection and if we weren’t already late, I’d be stripping them straight back off him. Marcus POV The party lasts long into the night, and it’s not showing any signs of slowing down when Leila and I make our excuses and slip out in the early hours of the morning. The marquee is still packed with guests. Humans are being spun around the dance floor by a pack of wolves and they're having the time of their lives. If only they knew. Most of them would probably go running for the hills. Nathan is giving it socks on the dancefloor. A cute little red-head she-wolf that I don't recognise is happily rubbing herself all over him in a not too subtle attempt to mark her territory.
